As An Eagle

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint – Isaiah 40:31

We all need regular times to listen to God. Waiting upon the Lord is expecting His promised strength to help us rise above life’s distraction and difficulties. Listen out for God to help us be prepared for when He speaks to us. Be patient when He asks us to wait. Expect Him to fulfill the promise through His word.

Sometimes God ask us to wait before He will answer our prayers. Usually, when a prayer is not answered immediately, it’s either we’re asking for the wrong thing; He’s preparing us to receive the blessings He has for us; or He’s building spiritual maturity in us.

God is very much aware of the valley experience we have, but while we’re in the valley, if we wait on God, continue with consistent prayer, fasting and reading the Bible, strength will begin to embrace us. His grace will begin to fill us with strength of faith, strength of commitment, strength to know what ever we may be going through, the Shepherd is there to lead and guide us through the valley.

The strength the Lord gives us is greater than any energy drink. His strength helps us to see through the darkness and know that light is coming at the end of the tunnel. He gives us strength so we will not get weary or faint on our journey. When God allows us to go through valley experiences it is working for our good even though it doesn’t look or feel like it.

At the end of the journey our faith will be that of an eagle, strong and powerful, with spiritual eyes open to see the enemy; with spiritual ears open to hear what God is saying.

Waiting for God comes with rewards for our faithfulness.
