Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us – Ephesians 3:20

God’s purpose for our life is that we grow and mature into spiritual maturity, the same spiritual perfection of Jesus Christ. There is a power within many Christians that haven’t been manifested, because of their unbelief and not realizing the power that lives within them.

God wants us to grow up into a new position of strength so that we will be able to fearlessly face the enemy, engage Satan in combat, and defeat him while seizing the territory that belongs to us. God’s desire is for us to grow up into a new unity of faith. The only way the world will ever know that Jesus Christ is Lord is if we become one with Him and each other. God wants us to grow up in knowledge of Jesus Christ. He wants us to renew our minds through the Word until we can know Christ in His fullness and understand fully all that Jesus has done for us.

When a believer is truly filled with the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit takes possession of him. He controls that person, He brings his will, mind, emotions and actions into the place of obedience and conformity to the Word of God. Being full of the Holy Spirit our actions will be continually under the control of the Holy Spirit. When we walk in obedience to the Word of God, the power of God will be released in the believer’s life. This is why Jesus instructed His disciples to go to Jerusalem and wait until they be filled with power (But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost (Spirit) is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth   Acts 1:8). 

The power that works in us and through us is the Holy Spirit. He’s the one that gives us the power to resist Satan so that he will flee. It is the Holy Spirit that enables us to feel the presence of God wherever we are, whether it’s at church, home or in our car. It’s the Holy Spirit that prays through us to God when we don’t know what to pray for. He’s the power that heals,  and regulates blood pressures, gives peace of mind, and provides comfort when we’re in distress.

There is nothing we can ask according to the will of God which is His word that can’t be manifested in our life. This is why it is so important to take time and read and study the Word of God in order to know what belongs to us. Many of the struggles believers go through could be eliminated if they knew what belongs to them. When we allow things to happen that could have been avoided, God will allow it, because we allowed it. When we stand up and don’t agree with what Satan is offering, then God will fight. The power that lives within us, will give us the strategy what to pray for, what to command and demand, what to bind and loose.

There is a power that lives within us that needs to be ignited, and the only way it can be ignited is through prayer, fasting, reading and studying the Word of God and be in submission to it. God gives us benefits daily, we need to know what are our benefits and access them. Satan will fight tooth and nail to keep us from what belongs to us, he knows those that don’t know what belongs to them. God have promised He would supply our need,  if we can think it, then God can do it. We can’t think larger than what the power of God can produce!
