Persuaded

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able to perform – Romans 4:20:21

Faith is something we can’t see, it has to be in our heart and in our mind. Faith can either be positive or negative, either one will bring results. Abraham staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God for what He was going to do prior to receiving the blessing.

God has given us promises from His Word just as He did to Abraham, and we can appropriate these promises by faith. We can be fully persuaded that God’s promises are true because God never changes. Since God and His Word are one, we know that God’s Word never changes either. God’s Word can be depended upon in every circumstance of life. Many Christians fail to receive the benefits that God has given them because they aren’t convinced that what they need or want is the will of God for them. When we pray, we can’t be wavering in our faith. What we prayed for today, we must also believe it for tomorrow and the day after. God doesn’t always answer our prayers instantaneously, this is when faith has to arise to know it may be delayed, but not denied.

Daily God has given us benefits, He has also given us His Word that promises, healing, forgiveness of sins, and prosperity. He didn’t leave these promises for us to overlook them, but to read them, and believe what He has promised. Without faith we can’t please God, and neither will we receive what we’re asking for. God is able to do everything He has promised in His Word. He’s the God that moves and works and makes the impossible, possible. In order for prayers to be answered, we must be persuaded that God has heard our prayers and they will be answered.
