Teach Us To Pray

And it came to pass, that as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said unto Him, Lord teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples – Luke 11:1.

Prayer is communication with our Father, when we pray, we should examine ourselves to see where there may have been an area we may have sinned by thought or actions. Examine our actions, did we offend anyone verbally or through our behavior? If we have unforgiveness towards anyone, forgive them and release them before making our request. To the one and holy God, as we come before You, we ask for our sins to be forgiven. Whatever sin or sins we may have committed against You or Your people, open our understanding of what we have done. If we have wrong anyone, hurt anyone, mislead anyone, please forgive us and help us to know what we have done, who we have done it too, and help us to go to them and ask for forgiveness. We forgive those who have hurt and wrong us and we release them and we ask that You would forgive them. We pray for those who have wronged us, bless them Lord in every area of their life. Bring healing to their hearts, minds, bodies and soul as well as their homes.

We pray for spiritual leaders, strengthen them in the Word of God, help them to preach Your Word with boldness. Give them Your wisdom and knowledge to lead Your people. Help them to keep humble hearts and minds, help them to have your people best interest at heart. Let miracles, signs, and wonders follow them as they preach Your Word. Remove any burdens that may be on their hearts or homes. Lead and guide them to more revelation of the Word of God. We pray for the gifts and office that You have given them to manifest to bless Your people, to heal, deliver and direct Your people.

We lift up to You our spouse, and our children, grand-children, great-grandchildren draw them with Your love, write Your Words upon the tables of their hearts. Give us Lord, a mind, and heart to serve You in the beauty of holiness. Give us a praying spirit and a heart that will worship You in spirit and in truth. Help us to love You with all our heart, mind and soul. Help us to be led and directed by Your Word and Your Spirit. Help us to love one another as You love us. Remove division, spiritual discrimination out of the body of Christ, help us to dwell in unity.

Destroy heavenly Father every crooked and wicked way of our leaders. Help those in foreign lands to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. Bless those who are in need of employment, open doors no man can close. Have mercy on the homeless, bless them Lord with shelter keep them, bless them with facilities that will love them and treat them with dignity. Bring peace in homes, remove the chaos. Unit families in unity, give and comfort those who are in bereavement. Give strength to the caregivers and give them rest.  Deliver the drug and alcoholic and whatever addiction they may have. Deliver the gangs, shake them so they begin to call on the name of Jesus, Your Word says whosoever shall call upon the name of Jesus shall be saved.

Thank You, for hearing and answering our prayer. Thank You for being our God and our Father. Thank You for You are the Shepherd and the Bishop of our souls. Thank You for being our provider and protector. Thank You for being our joy and peace, thank You for moving the impossible and making it possible. Thank You for our homes and places of employment. Thank You we have a place to worship You without fear. Thank You for Your ears are open to our cry. Thank You, Father, we don’t have to fret ourselves because of evildoers because the Lord shall help us, and deliver us from the wicked. Thank You that our steps are ordered by the Lord. Thank You for this prayer of agreement, according to Your Word  (That if two of you agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done to them of my Father which is in heaven – Matthew 18:19). Thank You that Your hand is stretched forth to help Your people.  Thank You for this answered prayer, Amen!
