Seared Conscience
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing (deceiving) spirits, and doctrine of devils. Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron – 1st Timothy 4:1:2
False teachers were and still are a threat to the church, false teachers refuse to believe that God is the Creator of creation, if an individual hasn’t been grounded in the Word of God, their teachings would greatly distort Christian truth. Jesus and the Apostles have instructed the believer to know them that labor among us, to read and study the Word of God so we would know when the truth has been distorted by unbelievers and false teachers. The closer it gets to the return of our Lord’s return, the more false prophets and teachers will be on the up-rise.Very few pastors are teaching about the shedding of the blood of Jesus for the remission of our sins, holiness, prayer, studying the Word of God, being of a doer of what you read. Fruit of the Spirit and gifts of the Spirit are rarely mentioned in the church and this is why the body of Christ is weak in the Spirit. Satan is coming against the body of Christ and if we’re not full of the Spirit of God, knowing who we are in Him, we will be caught up in the doctrine of devils.
It’s hard to witness to people because of their unbelief, and the hypocrisy in the body of Christ. Our biggest witness will be our lifestyle, Fruit of the Spirit being manifested in and through us. We may not be able to witness verbally, but we can take them to the throne of Grace by praying for their salvation, living a life that is showing the God that lives within us. When people’s mind has been seared by Satan, it’s going to take the redeemed of the Lord to set them free by the Spirit of the Living God that lives within their being.
As born-again Christians, its’ our obligation and responsibility to pray and fast for lost souls. We should have a list of names we call out to God for deliverance. When people are enslaved by sin, it’s going to take the anointing of God to free them. We’re in a spiritual war, a sentence of death has been launched, and the only way to win this battle is through fasting, praying, calling out to God for souls to be saved, allowing the Word of God to be in us and working through us. We must know the Word of God, speak the Word and live according to the Word of God.
