Faith In Him

But now is made manifest and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith – Romans 16:26.

Jerusalem was the center of Jewish life, Rome was the world’s political, religious, social and economic center. The major governmental decisions were made, and from there the Gospel spread to the ends of the earth. The church in Rome was a cosmopolitan mixture of Jews, Gentiles, slaves, free people, men, women, Roman citizens, and world travelers. Just as Rome was of a cosmopolitan mixture of different nationalities, we too live in a cosmopolitan setting with the entire world open to us. We as Christians should be focused on winning souls. It is the preaching of Jesus Christ. The sum and substance of the whole gospel is Jesus Christ and His crucifixion for the entire human race. Jesus didn’t die for a certain race, through Him all can be reconciled to the Father. Jesus Christ is salvation to the ends of the earth, to all nations. And the designer of it is very observable; it is for the obedience of faith. The gospel is revealed, not to be talked of, and disputed about, but to be submitted to. The written Word of God is for every nation, there is only one God and Creator of all men, there isn’t a different God for every nation other than the one’s man-made as a god.

Faith is something that isn’t tangible as for as touch, but you can feel faith when it arises in your heart and spirit. Sad, to say, we have more faith in the natural, than we do for the things of the Spirit. We will work two weeks for an employer and have faith enough to believe when it’s time for us to be paid, we will receive our pay, but when we’re told we can feel the presence of God or hear the voice of God, it’s hard to get people to believe. They would rather believe the person has a mental illness rather than believing they actually heard the voice of God or felt His presence.

Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, this is why it is so important for us to build our faith by hearing the Word of God, reading the Word of God. Prayer helps us to build a relationship with Him, and quietness after prayer will sensitize us to be sensitive to His voice and His presence. One doesn’t have to be a minister or have a title to have a relationship or an encounter with the presence of the Lord. To build a relationship with God is like building a relationship with a friend or spouse, it takes time by talking and spending time with one another to get to know them, their likes and dislikes, what makes them happy, what makes them sad. God has given us His written Word to find out about what makes Him happy, what makes Him sad. His Word expresses His love towards all mankind. When we praise Him and give Him adoration from a sincere heart, you can feel His presence.

Just as Adam had fellowship with God in the Garden, we too can have fellowship with Him in our homes or in our cars through communicating with Him daily by reading His Word, prayer and just telling Him what’s on your mind and heart. God wants to hear what’s troubling you, He wants to hear your goals, He wants to hear you ask Him for what you need.  Adam and Eve heard the voice of God in the Garden of Eden after they had sinned (And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden – Genesis 3:8). We can live such a life that pleases God, that wherever we’re at, He will give us a visitation, and although we stumble at times in our faith, all we have to do is repent, meaning we’re sorry, and make a commitment not to return to the sin, and our relationship with Him will be restored because of the shedding of the blood of our Lord and Savior. It’s grace that has been given us because of Jesus.

God is the God of all nations, and His Son, is the Savior of all nations. He’s the God that we can touch, He’s the God we can hear His voice. He’s the God we can feel His presence,  He’s the God that heals and delivers. He’s the God that loves unconditional. He’s the God that is waiting to hear your voice, He’s the God that you have to approach in faith!
