Impact

For the earnest expectation of the creature (creation) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God – Romans 8:19.

To impact is to press firmly together, to force tightly, to hit with force, to have an effect, a violent contact, the power to move feelings, and to influence thinking. This is what we as Christians should be doing to the spirit of darkness, we can’t play with Satan and his counterparts and then think we can have dominion over them.

The witness of the Spirit is the inner assurance of God’s truth. One of the conditions of this inner conviction concerning the things of God is obedience. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Many will sacrifice their time to attend a church service for hour or so, but to confirm to what they have heard is a different story.

Although God is all-powerful, He has given the earth to Satan to rule (In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ who is the image of God, should shine unto them – 2nd Corinthians 4:4). The only way the gospel is going to shine, it’s going to be through those who are professing to be Christians. Jesus nor the Father is going to walk the earth themselves, but they have entrance through our spirit to reside if we have allowed them to reside in us (Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode with him – John 14:23).

There is a difference from just receiving salvation by believing that Jesus is the Son of God, but allowing Him to clean us from our sins, allowing Him to perform spiritual demolition to destroy bitterness, unforgiveness, selfishness, highmindness, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life and all the ungodliness that would influence us then will we have authority over demonic influences in our lives and the lives of others.

We’re in a spiritual war, and the opponent is not playing, he is trying to kill, steal and destroy as many as he can. God has given us the power and we need to live a life according to the Word of God in order for that power to manifest through us (Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven – Luke 10:19-20). The power that God has given us comes through submission to the written Word of God, His will and His plan. We consider ourselves as servants to God and whatever He instructs us to do, it’s a yes and Amen!

We can’t toy with Satan and think we ‘re going to have authority over him. Without our submission to the Word of God, Satan and his co-host would tear us to shreds, but if we have the Holy Spirit living with us, because it is a gift (If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father, give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him – Luke 10:13). If we already had it when we received salvation, Jesus wouldn’t have instructed the believer to ask for it, neither would He had instructed the disciples to go to Jerusalem and wait until they have been empowered with the Holy Spirit.  Just attending church, and haven’t submitted to the Word of God is dangerous. Using the name of Jesus and blood will not work, because of the rejection of submitting to the Word; but when we have submitted to the Word of God, we have the Father, the Son and the angels of God reinforcing us.

The only way we’re going to impact the world, is through submission to the Word of God, fasting and praying, studying the Word of God, and receiving instruction from God. God is the Commanding Chief, and we’re the soldiers. We must be able to hear what the Commanding Chief is saying, and if we’re toying with salvation, we’re spiritually hearing impaired, because sin will dull our hearing.

God is waiting for us to come forth as the sons of God!
