Mind of Christ

Mind of Christ

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus  (Philippians 2:5).                                                                                                                                                  Mind – To obey, be under the authority, to do as one is told. To give one’ attention,  to be attentive. Jesus mind was to please the Father, He didn’t come to earth with His own agenda, but came to do the will of the Father. Jesus was our example of how we should be as children of God. Some may say, living as a Christian is hard, but that’s opposite of what the Word of God says, the bible instructs the way of  a transgressor is hard (Good understanding giveth {gains} favor: but the way of a transgressor is hard – Proverbs 13:15).If living as a Christian according to the Bible is hard, it’s only because the individual hasn’t made up their mind and they have a poor understanding of scripture.

Dying to Live

Dying to Live

Some men’s sin are open (clearly evident) before hand, going (preceding) before to judgment; and some men they follow after (later).                            1st Timothy 5:24   Paul was  instructing Timothy not to be hasty installing men into office, but to carefully examine each elder candidate, his true character and fitness for office to be determined. Many times people are placed in offices they should not be in because their spirit nor their character is in line with the Word of God. Leaders are to be  an example  to others as well as those that are professing to be Christians should live a life by precept and example of the Bible. Paul instructed the believer to follow him as he follow Christ. Many are standing in the office of a leader and they are directing people straight to hell because of their opposite teaching of what the Bible has instructed the believers to live.

Three Things God Cannot Do

Three Things God Cannot Do

God is not a man, that He should lie, neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good  (Numbers 23:19). Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever (Hebrews 13:9). But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimestone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8).

There is three things God cannot do: He cannot lie,  He will not change, and He will not allow sinners into heaven. The Bible is God’s spoken word to the believer, it’s our responsibility to search the scriptures,  learn them and  apply them.

Drawing Others to God

Drawing Others to God

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man  (Colossians 4:5-6).

“Walk in wisdom towards them that are without” means we should be wise in our contact with non-Christians, we should make the most of every opportunity to minister or witness to them about salvation and God’s love for them. Witnessing is not always in words, but in deeds; assisting those that others may reject, saying kinds words to those  you know that may not like you,  but you will show loving kindness towards them. Assisting those who may be standing in the street or standing at the bus stop asking for money, if its really a need, the Spirit of God will let you know if its a need or a scam. Working above and beyond your job duties and not complaining, but knowing that God is seeing your faithfulness towards your employer, and He will reward you when you’re employer ignores you.

What You See Is What You Get

What You See Is What You Get

And there we saw the giants the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight (Numbers 13:33). God instructed Moses to send men to Canaan to search the land  God had given them. When they got there, they saw the greatness of the land, the grapes were so  large, it took two people to carry them, they brought back to the camp pomegranates and figs, but they also brought back to the camp a fearful report.  Although God had promised them the land, He didn’t say they didn’t have to fight for what was theirs. Ten of the men saw themselves as grasshoppers and what they saw in themselves they influenced others to think like-wise.

Their negative report brought fear to the camp; two men, Joshua and Caleb saw themselves as children of God, soldiers in the army of God, more than conquers. Ten men turned the positive faith of the children of Israel to negative faith. Negative faith will work the same way positive faith does. They believe they were defeated, they placed their trust in the giants rather than placing their trust in God.

When you’re having faith in God for something, its not good to be around people that will look at your circumstance more than they will look at God, if you hang around them long enough, you to will be begin to have their faith.  As Christians, we have mountain top experiences and we have valley experiences, when we’re in the valley, don’t deny where you are, but see yourself coming out of the valley.  If you’re sick, see yourself healed, the same Word that saved you, will heal you. If you’re bound by an addiction or a bad habit, see yourself being delivered. What you see is what you will receive whether its positive or negative.

When a thought comes to your mind that does not line up with what the Word of God says, you need to dismiss it, get your Bible and read to yourself what God’s says, and keep in mind, God’s Word has authority, as you say what you see in the Word of God, He will perform His Word, it will never return to Him void.  See what the Word of God says about you, and not what Satan speak to you. See yourself as a child of God, see yourself blessed and favored of God, see yourself being submissive to the Word of God, see yourself as more than a conquer, see yourself as a soldier of God, see yourself being a winner and not being defeated in any area of your life or being.
