So shall my words be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it – Isaiah 55:11.
It’s a blessing to those who seek the Lord, the promise of God is, if we seek Him with our whole heart, we will find Him. Seeking God is through prayer, meditation, reading and studying the Bible. Giving ourselves a fast, reading books that will increase our knowledge of Him.
The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms (harlotry) and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord – Hosea 1:2
Marriage is ordained by God and illustrates His relationship with His people. There is perhaps no greater tragedy, therefore, than the violation of those sacred vows. God instructed Hosea to find a wife, and told him ahead of time that she would be unfaithful to him. Gomer may have been morally pure prior to her marriage to Hosea, but became discontented and went into harlotry.
Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it – Isaiah 5:14
Throughout the Bible hell is mentioned for those who reject the Son of God and for those who profess to be a Christian, but live as a hypocrite. Many believe that since God loves us so much, He wouldn’t send anyone to hell to be tormented.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God, and all things were made by Him: and without Him was not any thing made that was made – John 1:1-3
Jesus is the incarnate and the inspired Word. Incarnation refers to the miracle of God the Son becoming human, but yet Divine. Jesus was with the Father in the beginning prior to earth and the other galaxies that were formed. In the beginning signifies the perfect fellowship between God the Father, and God the Son in eternity.
Wherefore I abhor (despise) myself, and repent in dust and ashes ( Job 42-6) Job repenting before God, for the sins he committed.
Many times when people hear the word repent, the first thing, they think about is sinners repenting for their sins, but repentance isn’t just for those coming into the knowledge of God, its for those who say they know God and do the opposite of what His Word instruct us to do. Throughout the day, we need to take the time, and do a self check to see if we have sinned against God or have offended His people in anyway.
