Easter

Easter

And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people (Acts 12:4).

Easter is a festival celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The name, has been attested as early as the eighth century A.D., is believed to have derived from annual sacrifices in honor of Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon spring goddess. The Eastern Church, following the practice of early Jewish Christian, first observed the celebration on the fourteenth of Nisan (March through April), the first day of Passover. The Western church, following the Gospel accounts on Christ’s resurrection (Mathew 28:1), set the festival on a Sunday, the first to follow the new moon which occurs on or immediately after spring. Eastern Orthodox churches employs a different system of calibration, may observe the festival one, four or five weeks later. The English translation King James Version indicates “Easter” for the seven-day Passover festival after King Herod Agrippa I intended to sentence and execute Peter.

Easter celebration in some denominations is considered as paganism, meaning heathenism, agnosticism, idolatry and atheism. In the Greek language “Easter” is the Passover (meal of the day, the festival or the special sacrifices connected with Easter or Passover) Festival is a celebration of when one is merry, joyous about someone or something.

When the nation of Israel was delivered from Egypt they were instructed to take a lamb without blemish for the Passover, to drain the blood into a basin and apply the blood to both sides of the door frame. After applying the blood they were to roast the lamb and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. This was the meal they were celebrating for their deliverance from Egypt. They were to apply the blood to the door post; every house that had blood on their door post the death angel passed over them. The annual feast of the Passover commemorated the birth of the nation of Israel and their deliverance from Egypt. Typologically, it pointed towards the deliverance from the bondage of sin to be provided by Jesus; we as Christians are the spiritual Jew (But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God-Romans 2:29).

When John the Baptist introduced Jesus; He was introduced as the “Lamb” of God (John 1:29, 36). The Lord’s Supper is our Passover remembrance” as well as the celebration of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior; Jesus, the Son of God.

If the blood of Jesus has been applied to the door post of our hearts, the death angel will pass over us, (wages of sin). The blood that has been applied to our hearts can save our household. Our deliverance from the slavery of sin, should be celebrated daily, it should be something we never take for granted. We as Christians not only should recognize the typological fulfillment of the Passover sacrifice by Christ, but also our responsibility to “keep the feast” by living a sincere and truthful life that will please the Father when He looks at us, it will please our Lord to see His death for the Christian wasn’t in vain when we live a life that is pleasing to the Father.

False Prophets

False Prophets

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him (Deuteronomy 18:22)                                                                                                  Before the return of  Jesus, the Bible has warned the believer there would be many false prophets. False prophets are known in the Bible as those with familiar spirit. False prophets have ruined many lives by the prophecy they have given individuals and the prophecy didn’t come from God, but by their own spirit and emotions. There is a difference between a prophet of God and a false prophet. A true prophet of God speak as the Lord gives him or her utterance, the prophecy will always line up with the Word of God;  and the prophecy will come to manifestation, it will also be a confirmation of what God has already spoken in your spirit and heart. False prophets are known in the secular world as psyche’s. A true prophet of God will never give prophecies about receiving cars, money, homes and material items; God has promised, if we seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these things would be given to us. Prophecy is given to encourage the individual in the Lord,  confirming what God desires out of their life. Sometimes a prophecy is given about personal concerns, but usually its about the kingdom of God

True prophets of God will never ask for money to give you a word from God, they don’t give you a prophecy for $50.00 or $100.00;  this is what psychic do, and it shouldn’t be in the body of Christ. God hasn’t changed, what He did through the prophets of old, He is still using them the same way. Prophets of old came to tear down and pluckup what the adversary had built, they also rebuked and exhorted the people of God, true prophets of God are still doing it God’s way. Christians shouldn’t be charging someone if God has given them a prophecy to give to someone. Neither should Christians be calling psychic lines, using astrology, numerology, palm reading, or psychometry, all of these are individuals that has a familiar spirit. Many Christians don’t know what a familiar spirit is; a familiar spirit is an evil spirit that becomes familiar with an individual or family. It follows that person or family and know their weakness-physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  In the Christian community, its called generational curse, but its really a familiar spirit, not a curse. A spirit that is familiar with you will communicate knowledge about you to those whom they serve such as the psyche and false prophets. Keep in mind every person who has supernatural knowledge about you is not of God.

Many of God’s people have been destroyed spiritually because of the lack of knowledge. Many Christians don’t take the time to read and study the Bible,  our committment to God’s Word gives us knowledge and God will give us the wisdom how to apply the knowledge He has given us. God knows the past, present and future; if we place our trust in Him, He will give us the information we’re seeking  when we seek Him and not people to give us a word of prophecy. Don’t allow everyone to pray for you and speak into your life because those that have been sent by Satan can speak damnation and other havoc’s into your life. No them labor among you!

There will be times God will  send someone in your life to tell you what He wants from you;  or what you should do regarding certain circumstances, and you will know the answer came from God, because it will agree with your spirit. It’s one thing about the Spirit of God indwelling our human spirit, when someone has the same Spirit there will be an agreement in our spirit.  Satan’s time is running out and he is trying to destroy as many lives as he can, be committed to God, His Word; and His Spirit will lead you into all truth.

Don’t Be A Fool!

Don’t Be A Fool!

But God said to him, you fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared? So is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God (Luke 12:20 -New American Standard Bible). Jesus’ instructions to  His disciples then and now  wherever our treasure is, that is where our hearts will be. Beware of where your heart is, there is a space in our hearts reserved for God, and Him only; when we place people and things in His reserved area, we have made them idols and gods. God has instructed His people to have no other god before Him. How can a Christian have a connection with the Father when he or she doesn’t have a time of prayer. We have time to do everything concerning to the natural things, but when it comes to spiritual things, we don’t make the time. To be a successful Christians, we must spend time in prayer,; we should have daily prayer, a time set aside to spend in God’s presence. We need to study the Bible and not just read it, we need days we set aside to fast, to bring our flesh under subjection.

If we spend as much time seeking to please God, as we do in seeking to make more money, more education, larger houses and so forth, the body of Christ would be more powerful and would be in unity, the power of God would be moving in us and through us. God just don’t allow His Spirit to rest upon us without  sacrificing. We have conferences after conferences to build the body of Christ up, but after the conference there hasn’t really been a spiritual change corporately or individually. It’s going to take more than a conference for us to begin to walk in the manifestation of the power of God. Jesus is on His way back, and the body of Christ needs to get busy winning souls. There are people who will never enter a church unless someone minister and guide them to one. If we’re always thinking about getting more for us and not using what has already been poured into us, Sunday after Sunday, weekday service; another conference isn’t going to get the job done.

We are the sons of God, and we should be walking epistles, read by men. There is power in God we have not touched; and we cannot get it without commitment in prayer, fasting, reading and studying the Bible and living according to the Bible instructions. We should be focusing on how to win a soul, praying for God to manifest Himself through us to a dying world.  Each of us are accountable for what we do as Christians, are we focusing on the world and how to get more stuff, or are we preparing ourselves to be vessels, God can use anytime, anywhere and any place? Are we preparing ourselves so the anointing can rest in our lives to bless others or are we too busy doing everything that points to the world and  nothing for God!

I Thrist

I Thrist

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith I thirst (John 19:28). Prior to this time, a complicated system of sacrifices was made for  sin. Sin separates people from God, and only through the sacrifice of an animal, a substitute, could people be forgiven of sin and became cleaned before God. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice, when He made the sacrifice, He didn’t have to it do again as they did with the animal sacrifices. He shed His blood once and it cleansed thousands of generations from the sins they were born into as they accept Jesus as the Son of God and through faith they were reconciled to God through the shedding of His blood and resurrection.

Jesus didn’t have to leave the Father to come to earth and die for our sins, but He loved the Father and the people of the world so much, He volunteered Himself to be the sacrifice for our sins. When He made the statement “I thirst”, it wasn’t only to say that it was finished, but the thirst He had; was to return to the Father. It’s like when you love someone and you haven’t seen them or been in their presence for awhile, you will have craving or a desire to be with them.

Anytime we come into the presence of God, it’s something that mire words cannot explain or describe, it becomes a thirst to get into His presence, to feel His touch. Sad to say, many churches and the body of Christ has lost that thirst to experience the move of God in the sanctuary and in our  homes. God is still during miracles, signs and wonders, but He needs a vessel He can use, He need churches that will not program Him out when He begin to move in their sanctuary. God is ready to open up blinded eyes both naturally and spiritually, but He cannot do it when He can’t find  people that is willing to sacrifice themselves to be used by Him. Just as He used Smith Wigglesworth and others like him, they were thirsting for the presence of God and because they thirst and hungered after righteousness; they were filled and their thirst blessed others.

We need to ask ourselves, when was the last time we felt God’s presence in our church and it wasn’t our emotions on display, but the Spirit of God moving among the pews?People being healed, saved, filled with the Spirit of God, blinded eyes opened, diseased bodies being healed, minds being regulated to soundness, that’s is  what happens when the Spirit of God comes into our sanctuaries and homes. Have you ever been down in your spirit, and then you begin to praise God, and as you praise Him, you can feel when He steps into your home, the atmosphere changes and you know you’re standing in the presence of the Lord. He comes to us, when we thirst for His presence!

Religion/Christianity

Religion/Christianity

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (creation); old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2nd Corinthians 5:17) There is a difference from one being a Christian and one just being religious. Religion is either  trying to make yourself righteous or one  who acknowledges there is a God, but rejects the Bible’s instructions; they pick and chose what scripture of the Bible they will submit to. Religion doesn’t have principles to follow as Christianity. With religion you can do what you want and yet call yourself a Christian or a religious person. True Christianity brings about a change in the person’s behavior and character, the Holy Spirit give them new life, and they are not the same anymore. The Christian is not reformed, rehabilitated, or re-educated, the person is a new creation, living in vital union with Christ. Christians aren’t someone who merely turned over a new leaf, we are beginning a new life under a new Master.

Christianity comes with a sanctification, Christians are once and continually set apart and kept. As Christians, we abide by the doctrine of Christ and will not follow no other doctrine. Christians are born again in their spirit, their spirit has been transformed by the Spirit of God and they become one with God and His Son. Christians take on the nature of their Father, whereas religious people nature, behavior and character will stay the same, not reflecting the nature of the Father. Christians don’t practice sin, for whatever is opposite of the instructions God has given us through His written Word is sin.

Many have lost their souls because they wanted to gain the world through their beauty and talents, desiring popularity; whereas the Bible has states  ”What would it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul”, to gain the world is to be an idol, having glory and honor going to the individual, and God has forbidden the Christian to have no other gods before Him, an idol is not just a statue, its people and things, anytime a person wants to be glorified and worshipped, this isn’t the Spirit of God being manifested in them.

There is no way the Spirit of God is indwelling our human spirit, and we haven’t changed in our behavior and character. If were still doing the same thing we were doing before we  became Christians the Spirit of God hasn’t come in our being, when He comes, He makes changes. God wants us to be Christians, not religious, this is why He instructed Nicodemus he had to be born-again, meaning being born from above, its nothing we can do of ourselves.

It’s not God’s desire for anyone to perish, but He will not push Himself on anyone who don’t desire to be a follower of Christ.
