John 1:18 – No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him. We have from Jesus Christ a clear revelation of God to us. He hath declared God to us whom no man hath seen at any time. This intimates that the nature of God being spiritual, He is invisible to bodily eyes, We have therefore need to live by faith. No one knows the Father like the Son. In His bosom indicates how well please the Father is with the Son. Since God is a Spirit and is invisible unless God chooses to reveal Himself. Humans can’t look at God and live.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet – Matthew 24:5-6

Jesus forwarned the believer the things that would happened prior to His return, but many believers don’t take the time to read and study the Bible in order to be abreast of what is happening. Jesus is returning, and when He returns, He’s coming with judgement.

The Body of Christ

The Body of Christ

What know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own – 1st Corinthians 6:19

There is a difference from those who believe and those that have been born of the Spirit of God. Many believe in God, many believe that Jesus is the Son of God, but when they hear the word of God they reject it because they want to stay in their mess. It’s not so much people don’t believe, they just don’t want to submit their life as the word of God has instructed.

Expectation

Expectation

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing  I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always so now also in Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death – Philippians 1:20

Apostle Paul was imprisoned in Rome, awaiting his trial. He knew he would either be released or executed, but whatever the outcome would be, he was placing his trust in the Lord. As Christians, we  need our faith to rise to another level. Too many times we place our expectation in what we see, hear and feel. Concerned about what people think of us; afraid to be tested to get the best worrying about being brought to shame.  When God has promised, those that wait on the Lord will  not be brought to shame. Those who don’t believe in God, life on earth is all there is, so it’s natural for them to strive for this world’s values, money, popularity, power and prestige. As Christians, if we do it the way God has instructed, (Matthew 6:33 – But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you) we wouldn’t strive for the world values, when we do it according to Bible principals. We cannot lose our focus, Jesus is on His way back for His church, and what we have accomplished in worldly values will not enables us to enter to Heaven.

There is nothing wrong with desiring to live a life without having to live pay check to pay check or a monthly income, it becomes sin when we place our values more on money,  popularity, prestige rather than the things that would build the kingdom of God. Jesus asked His disciples, For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul ?       Mark 8:36. If we live according to the Word of God, it’s His responsibility to supply our needs, and as we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart. It’s God’s pleasure to see His children’s joy being fulfilled.

The reason why many Christians don’t have their expectation in God, but their expectation is in worldly values is because they spend more time pertaining to the things of the world rather than seeking God in prayer and taking the time to read God’s word and allow Him to speak to them through His word. If the word of God is not residing in our spirit or mind, how would one know when God is speaking to them? Our expectation should be from God, not in people; this is why God has instructed us not to place our confidence in men; that’s including female too when the Bible speaks of man. People are limited in what they can do, and because of the selfishness of people, they would rather see you fall than to see you excel. When we have the Spirit of God living within our being, we become as our Father, desiring the best for all mankind.

When we pray, we should have expectation that God heard the prayer, and He will answer the prayer. It may not be when we desire it, but the prayer will be answered when the time is needed according to the will of God. Stop placing your expectation in what people say, and start reading the Word of God, and place your expectation in Him. God can open doors no man can open, He can close doors no mancan open. He’s greater than any doctor or the medication they prescribe. He’s the CEO over all businesses whether they know it or not. He’s a counselor, joy and peace. Provider and protector, He’s King and He will dominate everything we allow Him to bring His will into. Place your expectation in the God that speaks, builds, destroys and the giver of life!

Anchor

Anchor

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye be rooted and grounded in love. Maybe able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:17-20).  To be rooted  and grounded in love is similar to an anchor, it’s holding on to God’s word no matter how the enemy may fight you in your mind with unbelief. When we place our faith like an anchor, the Father gives Himself to us like an anchor.

A anchor is a heavy object, usually an iron weight with flukes, lowered from a vessel to prevent drifting. It gives stability; a anchor supports, safeguards, gives security, protection, and defense. An anchor does what God will do for those who places their faith in Him. So many times we place our trust within ourselves and we make ourselves god over our life and situations. There is nothing to hard for God, what is impossible with man, is possible with God. God is the one that can heal a broken heart, diseased and sickly body, regulate a confused and troubled mind. God can heal and restore a marriage, open doors of opportunity that will bless you because the blessings of the Lord will make you rich and He will not add any sorry to it. When we try to bless ourselves and allow Satan to bless us, sooner or later sorry will prevail  in what we thought was a blessing.

As Christians our faith must be anchored in God, and not in what we see, feel or hear.  Without faith according to the Word of God, we cannot please God and this is why Satan comes to steal and kill our faith in God. The Bible is a book of promises to those who will place their faith in God. Anytime you place your faith in God, you will be tested. Faith is what you know of God and not what you have heard of  Him, hearing and knowing is two different things. When you know Him, it’s faith, when you hear of Him, it’s belief. Abraham knew God, and his faith was in God and not what he was hearing  of Him. When you experience something for yourself, that’s what you will have faith in.
