Jesus Is The Reason for the Season

Jesus Is The Reason for the Season

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace – Isaiah 9:6

This is the season, believers as well as unbelievers celebrate Christmas. The Christian community celebrates Christmas  as the birth of Jesus; although there is no record indicating He was actually born on the 25th of December, but this is the date given for celebration. Religious people have given the day chosen to celebrate  Christmas as a pagan holiday. Paganism is an individual that denies there is one God, but many gods, it’s the worship of all gods, it’s a non-Christian, atheist, agnostic, polytheistic. Whatever day Jesus was born, it’s a day that needs to be celebrated, that is why as Christians, we should celebrate His birthday everyday by praise and worship and submitting ourselves to our Father’s instructions through His written Word to the believer.

To celebrate is to recognize the occasion, observe, consecrate, hallow, commemorate, honor, and to rejoice.  Christians that  are celebrating , is celebrating the birth of Jesus, not a god, but the Son of God who is  God!  A holiday usually is a day of freedom from labor, often one set aside by the law, just as Thanksgiving was established by President George Washington issued a proclamation, naming Thursday, November 26, 1789 a day of Public Thanksgiving. December 26, 1941,  President Roosevelt signed the resolution establishing Thanksgiving to be the fourth Thursday in November,  to be the Federal Thanksgiving Day holiday. So we know, as Thanksgiving was given a date so was Christmas, but as Christians, we know Jesus was born, it doesn’t matter what day He was born or the month. Division comes to hinder the unity of Christians causing non-effective Christians. There is no denomination in the Bible, but yet there are numeral denominations, and we argue about who is a true Christian. A true Christian is one that submits themselves to the instruction of God and not just a religious body.

Christmas is another day that the Lord  made and man made it a holiday, so whatever day we celebrate, its the day the Lord made, not man and it should be hollowed. Satan doesn’t care how he can bring division as long as he can get Christian’s to be divided. We should be concerned about souls being reconciled to God and not about a day that was set aside to celebrate to fight against it and each other because we’re being moved by our emotions and not our spirit.

This Christmas, we should purpose in our hearts to love everyone as Jesus love them, that’s the true gift God would desire for each of us to give to one another. Jesus has been taken out of the Christmas holiday because so many fought against the name of Jesus being present, just as they fought against His name being used in the Bible, the same thing is happening today, and we’re fighting against each other over a day. Jesus is on His way back for His church and we must be rapture ready. Spiritually, its not the day we’re celebrating, but the God of the day!

Hell

Hell

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and  of death (Revelation 1:18) Jesus is the only one that has died and came back to life and communicated with His people. Some have said, their father, mother or a love one that has dead has visited them, but this is not biblical according to the teaching of Jesus, Lazarus came back to life after Jesus raised him from the dead, but other than Jesus and Lazarus, no one else has or will return from the dead to communicate with the living (Luke 16:26, Ecclesiastes 9:5).

Hell is just as real as heaven, if it wasn’t so, it wouldn’t be in the Bible.  The prophet Isaiah mentions that hell has enlarged itself, the Apostle Mark states, it’s a place where the fire never stops and the worms never die, its place where no one desires to go. Hell is place the Bible indicates the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters and liars and all those who reject the Word of God will be in the lake that burn with fire and brimstone.

It’s our Christian responsibility to pray for those we know that are living in rebellion and disobedient to the Word of God, they can’t pray for themselves unless they have a repentance heart (John 9:31 – Now we know that God heareth not sinners; but if any man be a worshiper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth). A worshiper is not someone who sings, it’s those who worshiper Him in spirit and in truth.

Every Christian should have a prayer list, a list of people they call out to God for salvation. We have to go before God for those who cannot enter into the presence of God, we are the priest that can enter into God’s presence and petition God for the unsaved for their salvation with sanctification.  As Christians, we should be like our Father, we shouldn’t want to see anyone go to hell, its place where the spirit never dies and the individual is conscience of what’s happening to them. The next time you think you don’t have anything to pray for, think about the souls that are hell bound if salvation with sanctification doesn’t come into their life.

Ask In Faith

Ask In Faith

Ask, and it shall be given you, seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knock it shall be opened (Mathew 7:7-8). In the Christian community, you will sometimes hear, if you pray more than once for a thing, then you don’t have faith;  this misleading information has made many stop contending with God until they receive an answer. In this scripture, Jesus is telling us to be persistence in our pursuant of God. It’s not like God doesn’t hear our prayers, and it may get discouraging to continue to do right, praying consistently and not see tangible results,  but that’s the time we need to continue to pursue Him. We shall reap the benefits of our prayer, if we faint not. God has instructed us to delight ourselves in Him and as we delight ourselves in Him, He would give us the desires of our heart. To delight in someone means to experience great pleasure and joy in his or her presence, we get into God’s presence by prayer and praise. We are the children of God and just like in the natural when our children ask for something, if the answer is no, they will return and ask again; it should be the same way when we go to our Father in prayer; we pray until we  receive an answer to what we’re praying for.  As born- again Christians, we never ask the Father for something that is contrary to the Word of God, so when we pray and we pray according to God’s Word, we will receive an answer. Jesus said, whatever we ask the Father in His name, that would He do that the Father may be glorified in the Son. When you pray, believe God will hear and answer your prayer, ask in faith.

Forsaking All

Forsaking All

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple (Luke 14:33).  Forsaketh means literally to renounce or give up. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we have to make a commitment to live according to the instructions that has been given us through the written and spoken Word of God.
