The King Is Coming

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come – Matthew 24:42.

No one knows when Jesus will return, but the Bible instructs us that He will return. (For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with with a shout,  with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump (trumpet) of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first – 1st Thessalonians 5:16). Apostle Paul admonishes believers to be prepared for His coming because He was coming for a church without a wrinkle, blemish  or a spot.

Many people have lost homes and all their possessions because they listen to someone tell them, Jesus was coming at a certain year and month. If they would have taken the time to read the Bible for themselves, they would have known no one knows when He’s returning. (But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no not the angels which are heaven, neither the Son, but the Father – Mark 13:32) Now, if the Son doesn’t know when He’s returning,  how can man know? It’s our responsibility as Christians, to be ready and study the Bible.

Attending church and rejecting the instructions of the Bible will cause one to miss heaven and enter into hell. God has instructed the believer to be holy, meaning to be separated from the actions of the world and presenting themselvesas living sacrifices ( I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable of service – Romans 12:1). The Bible is our instructions in how to enter into the presence of the Lord and His kingdom. There is no other way to enter, but through the instructions He has given us.

Just because we have a gift doesn’t authenticate our entry to heaven. Unbelievers have gifts as well as believers, the difference is, a born again Christian have given themselves completely to the Lord to follow the instructions the Bible has given, whereas an unbeliever will not accept Jesus or the Bible, but yet they have been given a gift (For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance – Romans 11:29).

The Bible gives the believer the written Word of God in how to be prepared for the coming of our Lord and Savior. We can’t live any kind of way and enter into the presence of God. To many sermons, preaching, and teaching on blessing and not on how to receive the blessings and make it to heaven. Many people are blessed financially, singers and actors, but because of their life style will not enter into heaven. We can’t take money, popularity, or education to the grave. God has given us how to live if we  desire to enter into heaven, there is no other way other than the way He has instructed.

We cannot except the Father (God) and  reject the Son (Jesus) ( But if the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead, shall also quicken {give life}  your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwell  in you – Romans 8:11). When we have been born of the Spirit of God, we submit ourselves to His Word, we don’t go by what we think, we go by what His Word instructs us to do. When His Spirit lives within us, there is a willingness to submit to His Word. God’s Word will never change, it’s established in heaven and His Word will not return to Him void.

Many churches have become a social club, a place where we can get our emotions excited,  and sin is prevalent in the congregation, but it will not be addressed because the ministers feel they may hurt someone by telling them the truth or they will lose the tithes and offerings and individuals are on their way to Hell giving their tithes and offerings.  Bandaging sin by Grace; Grace is not for us to continue in sin. It’s Jesus petitioning the Father to give us another chance to get it right.  We’ve become so spiritually bankrupt until we don’t know when Jesus has stepped in our presence or is it our emotions because the singing and the music sounds good. When we live a life that is pleasing to the Father, His Spirit will enter our home, not just at church.

Jesus has instructed the believer, He was coming as a thief (Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garment, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame – Revelation 16:15).  A thief comes without a notice, he don’t call or text you and tell you he’s coming. As Christians, we must stand firm in the time of temptation, and by being committed to God’s moral standards. God loves everyone, but those who practice sin will not be allowed into the kingdom of God (But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimestone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8).

Jesus is on His way for His church, and the church must be prepared for His entrance. When the truth of the Word of God is ministered, people will get offended. Just as thy were offended with Jesus teaching, so will they be with our teaching. As long as we minister bless me messages, grace messages, how to succeed messages, people are willing to listen, but when you begin to tell them what God is saying, they no longer have interest. Ministers should preach and teach what the Bible is saying whether the people like it or not. Godly messages are only taken well when people have completely given themselves to the Lord.

In order to draw the lost, we must first live according to the Word then we can instruct others. If an individual is practicing sin, if the message is given in love and by the Spirit of God through the ministers, the individual will except the instructions. Every time someone comes to the altar to give themselves to the Lord, the message they heard wasn’t a beat down, but it was a spoken Word that came from the heart of God through the messenger to give to His people.

Just as a personal trainer give instructions to better the individual’s life, we as ministers should be preparing the people for the coming of  Jesus. A minister is more than standing behind a pulpit. Everywhere we go, we’re ministering to someone through words spoken, our kindness, and our behavior. Take time out to read and study your Bible, you have to stand before God by yourself, there will be no excuses. It doesn’t matter if a person believe or don’t he or she will have to stand before the judgment sit of God (So then, everyone of us shall give account of himself to God – Romans 14:12). Jesus is coming, and when He comes, He’s looking to see Himself in those that are professing to be Christian.
