Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you – 2nd Corinthians 6:17.         

A Christian should live a holy life that reflects the nature of God.  Holiness means to be committed to the teaching of the Scriptures, the instructions of the Father. As in the natural, children suppose to show some type of sign they belong to the individual who says they are their parents. They should look or talk like them, have some of their characteristics, it’s the same thing spiritually. Anyone who professes to be a Christian should show attributes of their heavenly Father.

As a part of basic beliefs of a Christian, they should separate themselves from actions, influences or people that will contaminate them. The Corinthian church was an immature congregation just as it is today with many churches. Many pastors have stopped teaching on sin and many in the congregation are on their way to hell because they aren’t being taught. Today’s salvation is,  if you attend church, volunteer your talent or your body in different areas of the church; give your tithes and offering then you’re Christian. As a Christian, we should do this, but after doing all of this and then live opposite of the teaching of the Scriptures, we’re still Hellbound.

According to the Word of God, we must be born again of the Spirit, and the Spirit of God that lives within our being will enable us to live according to the Word of God. It’s the responsibility of the pastors and leaders to lead the people into the promise land, but many of them are too busy and they aren’t spending enough time in the presence of God or His Word to give the people what God is saying. The church is a place where Christians should be able to come together and worship God in such away, the worship will usher the Spirit of God into the sanctuary. The reason why we can attend church and leave the church and it feel as though we just went to another social gathering is because the Spirit of God hasn’t entered the building because the congregation isn’t in unity or there is a lot of sin in the congregation.

Just as God visited the children of  Israel in their camp, He visits the church when we come together for worship. When the camp is clean God will enter (Since the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp to deliver you and to defeat your enemies before you, therefore your camp must be holy; and He must not see anything indecent among you or He will turn away from you. Deuteronomy 23:14). As Christians we should know that we have been bought with a price, the price tag can never be repaid, but we can express our gratitude by living our life according to His written instructions, the Bible.

Many Christians have been conformed to the world standard of living,” if you like it, do it”. As Christians, there should be a difference in our life style than that of the world’s life style. I can’t hate you and say I love God. I can’t curse you or give you a piece of  mind and then worship God (But no one can tame the tongue; it’s a restless evil and full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; from the same mouth cometh blessings and cursing. My brethern, these things ought not to be this way – James 3:8-10). We can’t tame our tongue, but if the Spirit of the Living God lives within our being, He will control it when we yield ourselves to Him, spirit, soul, mind and body.

Sad to say, many that professes to be Christians have no idea what is the Fruit of the Spirit or the Gifts of the Spirit or how they operate because they aren’t been taught or demonstrated in many churches. Every one have been given a gift (For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable – Romans 11:29), but they operate effectively when used by the Holy Spirit. The body of Christ have lost their focus, we’re here to bring non-believers, and those professing to be Christians, but living as a non-believer to the kingdom of God. God need people He can use anytime, anywhere in any place, but He can’t, if we’re living in carnality.  Prayer keeps us connected with God, fasting empower us to deny ourselves from actions God has instructed us to abstain from, studying the Word of God, enables one to live according to the instructions and teach others. Reading the Word of God, assist us to pray effectively to the Father as well as using the Word for a counter attack  with Satan and his imps. God honors His Word and Satan must submit to His Word.

Christianity is a living sacrifice, we don’t live to please ourselves, but to please the Father. Adam and Eve was given authority by God to dominate everything on the earth, but when they disobeyed the instructions of God, they lost their authority to dominate. Jesus has given us authority over the power of darkness, but when we tamper with things that defiles our mind, body and spirit, we can’t dominate the power of darkness when were living in darkness.
