Read and Learn

Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall ant her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them – Isaiah 34:16.

Isaiah referred to his prophecies that God commanded him to write down with the phrase “book of the Lord.” Whoever  lived to see the time of Edom’s destruction would have only to look to these prophecies to find agreement between what happened and what was predicted. Prophecy predicts and history reveals what has been in God’s mind for all time. The Bible gives a history of what has happened and what will happen on the day of the return of the Lord.

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand – Revelation 1:3

The church which is the body of Christ has fallen into a spiritual sleep, this is Satan’s most subtle strategy. Satan causes Christians to fall into a sleep of death, in this dangerous position, they are spiritually asleep, and are unable to hear the voice of the Lord as He speaks to them. They are unaware of the movements of the enemy, they have a false sense of security concerning their own spiritual condition. They are unaware of the lateness of the hour or the impending danger of death or the return of Jesus in their spiritual slumber. Read More

Offences

Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! Luke 17:1

The word offend is the verb form of a Greek noun that means “stumbling block” or snare. The term refers to the trigger which springs a trap. In the New Testament it means anything that hinders someone from doing what is right or cause one to sin or fall away from the faith. Jesus emphatically warns that stumbling blocks are sure to come our way. Nonetheless, He condemned those who put stumbling blocks in the way of believers. He said that death by drowning would be preferable to offending “one of these little ones” in the faith. Read More
