Read and Learn

Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall ant her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them – Isaiah 34:16.

Isaiah referred to his prophecies that God commanded him to write down with the phrase “book of the Lord.” Whoever  lived to see the time of Edom’s destruction would have only to look to these prophecies to find agreement between what happened and what was predicted. Prophecy predicts and history reveals what has been in God’s mind for all time. The Bible gives a history of what has happened and what will happen on the day of the return of the Lord.

Many are being deceived by ministers who haven’t been ordained by God because they will not take the time to pray and study the Bible. Jesus warned His disciples that prior to His coming many would be deceived, many are attached to preaching that makes them feel good at that moment, but when trials and tribulations and life matters comes, the preaching that made them feel good is no longer there and they can’t handle life crisis.

In this life we will have trials and tribulations whether we’re a believer or a none believer, the believer has the word of God and the Son of God to walk them through difficult times, whereas the unbeliever is handling what’s impossible for them. Salvation doesn’t exempt the believer from difficulties, hurt and pain, but we do have a promise from God that He will never leave us or forsake us.

The majority of preaching is making the congruent feel good rather than preparing them for when Satan attacks. When the money isn’t where they desire it to be, when the marriage is falling apart, when the job they have worked for a lifetime informs them they no longer have that position or they are fired; prayer neither studying the Bible will eliminate these problems. However, they will prepare us not to place our confidence in what we’re hearing, seeing or feeling.

Prayer strengthens our spirit, it nullifies our fleshly desires, while reading and studying the word of God gives us information on what God expects of us as professing Christians. The Bible also gives  the Christian promises and the truth of God’s character as well as His word The Bible informs us no matter what is going on in our life, we don’t have to face it alone, Jesus is there to walk us through the valley. He’s there to open doors that needs to be open and close doors that needs to be closed. He’s there to give us wisdom in how to increase our income without going against the principles of the natural law or the spiritual law. He’s the one that gives us a thirst for Him and His word to live by, to stand, and to fight with.

Don’t just attend church, but read what you should be as the church.
