Fruit of the Spirit (Long-suffering)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law – Galatians 5:22-23

Long-suffering is something that has to be created within us through the Holy Spirit, it’s nothing we can produce ourselves. Long-suffering is patience with others, the opposite of a short temper, a disposition quietly bearing injury. The majority of Christians can bear people for a limited of time before they will have to tell you what you said, how you said it, and how you made them feel. Peace is the state of being without war in your mind, heart and spirit. Sadly to say, many professing Christians don’t have the peace the Lord gave to His people. Today they’re on the mountain top, tomorrow they may be in the valley, their emotions are like being on a roller-coaster, up and down, jerking all over the place and it shouldn’t be with Christians.
