But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof – Romans 13:14.
The God we worship and serve is holy, He has instructed His people to be holy. Holiness is being separated from the actions and thinking of the world.
The Bible admonishes and teaches Christians to be sober and godly. As Christians, were taught how to dress ourselves, how to walk, and what provision to make, putting on the whole armor of God that we may be able to withstand the devil that day. Christians are not placing on the armor of God nor are they watching. We’re living in perilous times, men are lovers of themselves; they hate God and they hate His people when they are really living a godly lifestyle and not a religious lifestyle.
There is a difference between Christianity and religion. Religious are people who claim to be Christians, but they still do everything the nonbelievers do. To put on the Lord Jesus Christ means to put on the righteousness of Christ for justification; be found in Him as a person is found in their clothes. Put on the spirit and grace of Christ for sanctification; put on the new man (And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness – Ephesians 4:24). Jesus Christ is the best clothing for Christians to adorn themselves with, and to arm themselves with. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ to allow Him to rule you in every area of your life.
To be clothed with a person signifies to take upon one the interests of another; to enter into their views and to be wholly on their side, imitating them in all things. Christians should have on the armor of light (The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light – Romans 13:12). Night is the present age during which we live in Satan’s domain. Day is the beginning of a new life with Christ in His glorious reign. At hand means “imminent”; the Lord could return at any moment.
When Jesus returns or death finds us in the actions we’re in this will indicate where we will spend eternity. We will have no time to say I’m sorry, forgive me. It is important that we be concerned about our souls and not our desires. Christians do not have inherent light, rather we have reflective light. As we behold the glory of the Lord, we reflect it. Therefore, we need to make sure nothing comes between us and the Lord’s light.
As we accept salvation we should become a new creation according to the Word of God (Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new – 2nd Corinthians 5:17). If we’re still listening, going, and consuming what we were doing before salvation then we have not accepted salvation from the heart. There is no way one can encounter God and be the same. We don’t change instantaneously, but with the progress of time, we will change to be in the image of the Father and His Son.
When Christ has entered our hearts we no longer desire the actions of the world. We desire to please the Father when we have the mind of Christ, and we can’t have the mind of Christ if He’s not living within our hearts. As Christians, we do not serve sin (Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin – Romans 6:6). We can’t serve God and Satan.
Christians are following secular artists, Facebook, and all other social media, but they will not follow the instructions of the Bible. We don’t live according to what we think is right, we follow the instructions of the Bible. Put on holiness, separated from the world’s actions. We should be conformed to God’s Word and not to be conformed to the world (And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God – Romans 12:2). We can’t know the will of God if our mind has not been renewed by the Word of God.
Put on kindness, love, peace, joy, gentleness, goodness, temperance, longsuffering, faith, and meekness as we do this we are wearing righteous garments; we’re manifesting the Fruit of the Spirit. If God is our Father, then we should be manifesting His DNA in us by living a holy lifestyle.

Put On The Lord Jesus Christ
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof – Romans 13:14.
