Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, no effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, shall inherit the kingdom of God – Romans 6:9-10.
We all have an appointment with death, we don’t know the day, time, or year. When death comes, we must be in the right standing with God, if not, we will bypass heaven and enter hell.
There is a teaching that everyone will go to heaven, some believe there is more than one way to worship God. Others think you can live the same lifestyle before accepting salvation. God has given us His written Word to follow, and it’s our decision whether or not we will follow the rule book. The truth is, once our soul leaves our body we will either enter heaven or hell. In both places, we will spend eternity.
Satan is the god of this world and he has blinded the eyes of people to think God does not exist or we can serve Him in any way we want. Think about it, do you want people to treat you any kind of way they want? No, you want them to respect you for who you are. The same goes for God, He is holy, and He wants His people to be holy. Holy means to be separated from the sins of the world and committed to God and His instructions.
Many profess Christianity as a system of doctrine, but not as a rule of life. No one who allows themselves the indulgence of known sin in their life can be saved according to the Scripture. The Bible was composed for Christians; not the nonbeliever. Nonbelievers will not read the Bible, but Christians who have committed themselves completely to God will.
God knows our beginning and ending and everything in between. He knew there would be people in Christianity just as it were with the children of Israel called the mixed multitude that would try to influence true Christians to not follow the written Word of God. What God has said in His written Word is for every professing Christian to follow.
God is giving His people a chance to repent of their sins and follow His instructions. How do you know you are living or practicing sin, read the Bible and it will describe what is sin before God. Jesus came to free God’s people from the bondage of sin, then for them to continue in sin after He has freed them is like a slap in the face.
When we sin, all we have to do is confess our sin and He will forgive us and place us back in right standing with Him (If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness – 1st John 1:9). As Christians we should live every day as though Jesus is coming because we don’t know when He’s coming and we have to be ready to go back with Him (For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord – 1st Thessalonians 4:16-17).
Qualification for the rapture: Be in Christ – 1st Thessalonians Verse 14, 16; 2nd Corinthians 5:17-18. Be Christ’s – 1st Corinthians 15:23; Galatians 5:24. Be blessed and holy – Revelation 20:6, Hebrews 12:14. Be good –John 5:28-29. Be worthy -Luke 21:36. Be in the Church – 1st Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:4, Ephesians 5:17, Colossians 1:23. Be pure – 1st John 3:3. Be without spot or wrinkle – Ephesians 5:27. Live and walk in the Spirit – Galatians 5:19-21. Walk in the light – 1st John 1:7, Colossians 2:6.
Living according to the Word of God is a promise to enter into heaven and live with the Lord for eternity. But those who chose to live the opposite (But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death – Revelations 21:8) (Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies. Envy, murders, drunkenness, revellings and such like of the which I tell you before as I have also told you in past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God – Galatians 5:19-21).
God has given everyone a choice whether they want to serve Him or serve Satan; to enter heaven or enter hell after our soul departs. The choice is yours, whether you believe God does not exist does not matter, when the soul departs from the body it will enter heaven or hell for eternity.
