Whosoever, therefore, resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God; and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation [judgment] – Romans 13:2.

God, the supreme Sovereign, has ordained that there should be governing authorities. Every believer is to be subject to these various authorities, even if these authorities are as evil as Nero, the emperor of Rome, who cruelly persecuted Christians.

When Paul wrote this letter, Nero was in power, yet Paul exhorted the Roman believers to submit to Nero’s authority because God Himself had ordained it.

The purpose of human government is to uphold the good and punish the evil. Right and wrong are determined by the State. The Christian citizen is to obey the government as long as the government does not demand that citizens violate God’s Word. Governmental officials hold office by God’s appointment and are primarily God’s servants in their offices.

Although we may have some in authority who appear to be madly insane, they didn’t get into office without God allowing them to hold that office. Nothing happens without God allowing it. He will sometimes use evil to bring His people to righteousness. The Egyptians died a senseless death because they would not free the children of Israel to serve their God. All they had to do was submit to the Word of God: “Let my people go.”

We were in a pandemic in 2020, and thousands of people died, and many more because they would rather have the freedom not to wear a mask to keep themselves safe as well as others. This is called rebellion against those in authority. We should all be concerned about our own and others’ well-being. Although we had leaders saying it’s okay not to wear a mask, we must use common sense when medical professionals say to wear one.

Satan uses people to influence others. His goal is to kill as many as he can before they accept Christ. If one dies before expecting salvation through Jesus Christ, they are hell-bound, whether one believes it or not. The Word of God is true, and He has given us this truth through His written Word. The Bible speaks about the death angel being sent to the earth before the return of Jesus (And I looked, and behold a pale horse, and the name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him – Revelation 6:8). We’re living in the book of Revelation. The seals are being opened, death was on the earth through the pandemic, spouses killing their spouses, parents killing their children, and people killing others because of their skin tone.

People are in dire need of food, housing, and healthcare assistance, and those who have the authority to reinstate the programs are turning a blind eye because they have never experienced the need for these benefits. Those in authority would rather have the people suffer than submit to each other for the common cause of the people. Greed and pride have overtaken them.

People with mental illness aren’t receiving the professional help and housing they need. Many have been sent to nursing homes, where they are housed among the elderly, because the majority of mental hospitals have been closed.

Immigrants are being chased down like animals. They are trying to ban vaccinations for babies at birth that will jeopardize their lifespan because people have been placed in medical positions that don’t have a clue in the medical field. These people will not submit themselves to licensed doctors who know what is best for the babies.

Our world is in a state of coma; they are calling good evil, and evil good. Satan has blinded their eyes because they will not submit to the authority of Jesus and the Word of God. Those who have a relationship with God see what is going on and what is about to happen. This is why Christians should band together in prayer, interceding for this world. God only moves when He hears prayer.

It’s time for people who believe in God to submit themselves to Him wholeheartedly and stop playing church, but to be the bride Jesus is returning for. Many will be left behind to go through the great tribulation because they will not submit to God’s written Word.

Take time to read and study the Bible, repent of your sins, and ask God to forgive you and save you. Accept His salvation by His Son, Jesus! Submit yourselves to the written Word of God and those who have authority over you. There is life after death, and where you end up determines how you live your life now!
