A Place Call Hell

But the fearful [cowardly], and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death – Revelation 21:7.

Hell is a place prepared for those who reject salvation, those who live carnal lives. It’s a place of torment where the person is there for eternity.

Hell and heaven are real, and it’s more those who don’t believe than those who believe in their existence. Hell is not a place where God desires His people to enter, but because of disobedience and rejection of His Son and His written instructions, many will end up in hell.

Just because a person professes to be a Christian does not make them a Christian. Just because a person attends church faithfully and works in the ministry does not make them a Christian. Sadly, even those who are preaching do not make them a Christian.

To enter heaven, one must be born again, and that’s whether they speak in tongues or not; they have to be reborn in their spirit (Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God – John 3:5). The heart and spirit of an individual has to be changed by the Spirit of God living within them.

Before Jesus performed any miracles, He was first baptized in water, and received the gift of the Holy Spirit (Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him – Matthew 3:13). Jesus was baptized then He was filled with the Holy Spirit (And Jesus, when He was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto Him, and He saw the Spirit of God [Holy Spirit] descending like a dove, and ligting upon Him – Matthew 3:16).

Jesus was our example to be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. We can’t live a life of a Christian without the filling of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told His disciples that if they would keep His commandments, that He and the Father would come and live in them (Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and we will come unto Him, and make our abode with him – John 14:23). The divine indwelling is conditional on love, and obedience to Jesus’ words.

When we have the indwelling of the Spirit of God living within our beings, we no longer participate in the actions of the world. We desire to do whatever we need to do to please the Father. By doing so, we will bypass hell when death comes.

Christians can’t live as non-Christians and enter heaven; there is a stipulation to enter heaven. Man says, “Once saved, always saved,” but the Bible states something different (And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life – Revelation 21:27). Man has no choice about coming into the world but after he is here and old enough to be responsible, he is held accountable for his salvation or his damination (I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish – Luke 13:3). Repentance is necessary for salvation, but repentence alone does not save. It means to change one’s mind about sin in such a way as to result in a change of action.

Repentance begins with a change of thought concerning sin, often resulting in a sense of godly sorrow. In coming to Jesus for salvation, there is also a change in the will. Repentance is produced in life by means of the Word of God. When we reject the instructions of God, although we profess Christianity, we will enter hell and not heaven.

God has given His written Word for Christians to follow; if they do the opposite of His written Word, then they will be compensated for their disobedience (And behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his works shall be – Revelation 22:12). Our works are praying, fasting, reading and studying the Bible, applying our lifestyle according to the Scriptures.

It is of the utmost importance for Christians to read the Bible. One can’t apply their lifestyle to the Bible if they don’t know what is required of them. Just cause one does not know does not give them an excuse for not knowing what to do. It’s the responsibility of the Christian to read and study the Word of God. The Bible was not given to us to collect dust.

The Bible gives instructions on what to do to enter heaven or hell.
