Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world – 1st John 2:15.

Though all people are tempted differently according to their individual weaknesses, temptations follow patterns.

Patterns appeal to three fundamental areas of life: (1) the lust of the flesh [physical desires], (2) the lust of the eyes [personal desires], and (3) the pride of life [self-interest]. When Satan caused the fall of the race, he appealed to each of these areas of weakness.

Satan has not changed; he’s still appealing to fleshly desires, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. The Bible gives believers warnings to keep them from being influenced by Satan. Just as we heed the warning of the traffic signal, we must also heed the warning the Bible gives.

It’s not God’s desire for any to perish; this is why He spoke to godly men, and they wrote as He spoke to them Scriptures (All Scriptures is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished [equipped] unto all good works – 2nd Timothy 2:16-17). This refers to the supernatural guidance of the writers of Scripture by the Spirit of Go, so that what they wrote was the divine Word of God, transcribed accurately, reliably, and without error in the original manuscripts.

Although over the years of translation, some of the Scriptures may not have been added, there is enough Scripture to get one saved and stay saved if they desire to. The Bible warns Christians what not to do if they want a relationship with God and want to enter heaven when they die.

Heaven is real and so is hell; they are not folklore (Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it – Isaiah 5:14). Millions are dying daily throughout the world and the majority of them are entering hell because they rejected salvation or they lived carnal lives.

People read the employee handbook for their employer because they want to know what to do or not to do to keep their jobs. The Bible is very important to read and study to keep yourself from entering hell for eternity. Just attending church and knowing a few Scriptures will not give you entrance to heaven unless you’re living according to the Scriptures you’re quoting.

We have to abide in the doctrine if we’re Christians (Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath the Father and the Son – 2nd John – Verse 9). Departure from Christ into doctrinal error indicates that a person does not have God. Love for God means supporting the truth and rejecting those who stand against it.

So many of God’s people are looking at entertainers and actors and believing that because they say “God,” they’re Christians, then they follow their example of Christianity. God is holy, and His people have to be holy. If they were following Christ, neither their actions nor the songs would be influenced by Satan.

Satan was a worshiper in heaven. When he and a third of heaven’s angels were cast out of heaven, they entered the earth. Satan wanted God to worship him, so since he couldn’t get God to worship him, he had God’s people worship him through the music he gave to entertainers. Do you think the music and songs entertainers are using are worshipping God? If they’re not worshipping God, who are they worshipping?

People worship the entertainers and the actors, not knowing that they are Satan’s servants. Just like God has servants, so does Satan (And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works – 2nd Corinthians 11:14-15). Ministering is not just those who stand behind the pulpit; we’re all ministers of sin or sanctification through our lifestyle. A minister represents who they serve, our conduct reflects who we are servants to (Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness – Romans 6:16).

Pray, read, and study your Bible; the more you know, the more you can bypass hell. The instructions must be applied; if not, reading them and not performing them is a lost cause.
