Lesson Outline:  I.  The Role of Ananias – Acts 9:10-4; II.  The Commission of Saul – Acts 9:15-20

Introduction

Ananias was a believer in the Lord Jesus, and he lived in the city which Saul was sent by the Jewish authorities to persecute the believers.  Saul had been sent to apprehend Christians there and bring them to Jerusalem to be judged by those authorities, Ananias was in the center of the action.  He was one of those targeted by Saul for arrest, but he was chosen by God to confront Saul with the message from the Lord.  The call was not impossibly difficult or complicated all he had to do was go, find Saul, and talk to him even though he was targeted to be arrested.  The Lord’s words assured Ananias that Saul was now was a follower of Jesus and had been specially chosen by the Lord for an important task. Busy (Being Under Satan’s Yoke)

Every since Satan was kicked out of Heaven with a third of Heaven’s angels following him, Satan has been the adversary of God and to mankind. Satan and his imps influence people to do what they do, but God has given instructions for our thoughts  If we think of the things God has instructed us to think we wouldn’t allow Satan to plant thoughts in our mind. Salvation – Deliverance from sin and from the penalties of sin; redemption.

Some of the today’s Christians base their salvation by comparing their lifestyle to someone else’s rather than comparing their lifestyle by the Bible. Some feel as though they have received salvation because they were accepted at a local church or because they attend church on a regular basis. Some even feel they’re saved because they give tithes and offering and its the right thing to do as a Christians, but giving tithes and offerings doesn’t save us neither does our name on a  church membership gives us salvation.
