The Veil
But their minds were blinded (made dull) for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their hearts. Nevertheless, when it (one) shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. – 2nd Corinthians 3:14-16.
When Moses came down Mount Sinai with the Ten Commandments, his face glowed because of being in God’s presence. He put on a veil to keep the people from being terrified by the brightness of his face. Moses and his veil illustrates the fading away of the old system and the veiling of the people’s mind and understanding with their pride, hardness of heart and refusal to repent. Read More
