A Wise Man

A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels – Proverbs 1:5  In this age of information, academic knowledge, social knowledge is plentiful, but wisdom is scarce. Wisdom means for more than knowing a lot, it’s a basic attitude that affects every aspect of life. Majority of the time, people will not accept instruction, its our sin nature that keeps us from wanting to hear from anyone else other than our thinking and reasoning. A wise person is one who is teachable, they don’t think they know it all, but will accept sound advice. A wise person is slow to speak and quick to hear, they will discern if the instructions given is sound. In our order to increase in knowledge, one must be able to learn from others and apply what they have received.

We can be given advice, guidance and direction. Read More
