Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find: knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth: and to him that knocketh it shall be opened  ( Matthew 7:7-8) Prayer includes asking and receiving answers from God. It’s more than asking, it’s confession, adoration, thanksgiving and fellowship with God daily. Prayer is the basis of the  success of every Christian. Little prayer, little power, much prayer, much power. Power not to walk in the counseling of the ungodly, power to submit our spirit, soul and body to the Lord. Prayer is the key to touching God, and as we touch Him, He will touch us back with answered prayers!
