Unanswered Prayer

He that turneth (continually) away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination – Proverbs 28:9; Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshiper of God, and doeth his will, Him he heareth – John 9:31.

As Christians, it’s our responsibility to pray for those who cannot come into the presence of God in prayer because of their sinful nature. God is a God of love, but it doesn’t stop Him from disciplining those that disobey His Word. According to the Word of God, He does not hear the prayer of those who reject His instructions; that is why we must stand in the gap for them; praying that God will turn their hearts and their minds to Him. God is not only looking at the sinner, but He is also looking at the Christians, who suppose to being praying for those who cannot receive an answered prayer.

Sadly, to say many Christians have unanswered prayers because they will not forgive those who wronged them as well as holding on to offenses. God says forgive if we want our trespasses to be forgiven (For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses-Matthew 6:14). In order to be in right relationship with God, we must forgive. How do you know you have forgiven? When you can talk about it, think about it and hurt or anger does not rises in your heart and  emotions.

Christians are attending church Sunday after Sunday, Bible Study nights on regularly basis but holding unforgiveness and offenses in their heart against another spiritual sister or brother. Taking Communion and holding grudges, do you really think its being excepted with the Father? That’s why were instructed to examine ourselves ( But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup-1st Corintians 11:28). God is concerned about the heart issues not about whether you have taken Communion.

If we want our prayers answered, we must submit ourselves to what the written Word of God instructs.  Before we can effectively minister to the unbeliever, we must first get in line with God’s written Word. (Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand-Revelation 1:3).  When we submit ourselves  to God’s written Word then will His house be filled with believers and not just a church filled with people who only serve Him on Sunday’s. Lives only be changed at the altar when the Word is preached or taught by a person who has submitted  themselves to His Word. When the altar workers are submitted vessels, willingly to pray with individuls until they receive a break-through in their hearts and spirit.

The reason why there was such a move of God during years past because the people were truly submitted to what the Word of God instructed. As Christians, we need to do a daily check-up to see whether or not were submitted to His Written Word. Delight ourselves in Him then will He give us the desires of our heart.
