Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another, and so much the more, as we see the day approaching Hebrews 10:25.
To neglect Christian meetings is to give up the encouragement and help of other Christians. We gather together to share our faith and strengthen one another in the Lord. As we get closer to the day when Jesus will return, we will face many spiritual struggles and persecution. Anti-Christian forces will grow in strength, and we need the support and prayers of each other to enforce our faith and our strength.
Sadly to say, but the population of Christians not attending church is increasing more than the ones that are attending church. Many view their church service from their computer, iPhone, and laptop. Many would think its nothing wrong with this, because they’re not aware of Satan’s influence, but it’s just another influence Satan uses to keep the believer from being where the anointing is flowing. Sure, there will be times we can’t attend church, but when we make more decisions to not attend church than to attend church, something is wrong with us spiritually.
Jesus called His Father’s house, “House of Prayer” this is where the believer should come together with other believers to be strengthened, to be healed, to be encouraged, to be delivered from strongholds and other spiritual attacks. Every time we come to the church, and although we may not feel it at times, we’re strengthen spiritually, because we have made ourselves come subject to the instruction of God’s written word.
Jesus will be returning soon, but prior to His return, many things will be happening, and if we’re not rooted in Christ or the word of God, we will be in fear as well as being caught up with the unbeliever’s life-style because we don’t have the strength to resist sin.
Jesus is coming back for the believer as well as the unbeliever, both will be compensated for how they lived their life, the believer whose subject to the word of God (And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away – Revelation 21:4).
The unbeliever and those who reject the written word of God (But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death – Revelation 21:8).
We attend church, not only to fellowship, but to receive instructions and understanding of the word of God. How can one follow the instructions if they don’t know the instructions? How can one receive what God has for them, if they rather be at home than at the church, where the anointing should be to destroy the yokes?
