The Real Enemy

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God should shine unto them. – 2nd Corinthians 4:4

When we look at the world today, and see innocent people being murdered, children being raped and beaten; women being held captive against their will; runaway teenagers either selling drugs or ingesting them, gangs taken over what use to be family communities; men and women confused about their gender; innocent people incarcerated for crimes they didn’t commit; the question would be why does God allow this?

First of all, we must remember that God is a righteous God, He made the universe and then He made man. When He made man, He gave him and his wife authority to rule and dominate the earth and they gave their authority to Satan by eating the forbidden fruit. Although God is the Creator of mankind, He has given us free will, which means He has given us the choice of what we will or will not do.

God will not make us do what is right, the choice is ours; neither will He make us serve Him against our will, we will demonstrate who we serve.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourself to obey, his servant ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness. – Romans 6:16

We’re either going to serve Jesus or Satan, we can’t serve both although many professing Christians try to serve both.

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, sin was born and it has consumed the hearts of mankind since the fall in the Garden of Eden. Prior to God destroying the earth with water, man was giving a hundred twenty years before the convicting and judgement for their sinfulness.

And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. – Genesis 6:3

God is a God of time, He isn’t going to stop anything before it’s time. When God created Lucifer (Satan), he was created in holiness. Lucifer rebelled against God and he led a third of heaven angels in rebellion with him, Satan is a spirit too. The angels that rebelled with him are spirits. This is why the Bible teaches us that we’re not fighting against flesh, but spirits.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. – Ephesians 6:12

Just as God needs a human to manifest Himself through so does Satan; just as God manifest Himself through His servants, so does Satan through his servants. Whether people want to believe it or not, Satan and demons are real and they use people to steal, kill and destroy one another. Satan is the god of this world and we as professing Christians need to try to win as many souls to Christ as we can. Winning souls builds up the kingdom of God, and it also eliminates people being servants of Satan. The more people who serve Jesus there will be fewer people that will serve Satan. Servants carry out the order of who they serve, when righteousness is established in the hearts of the people, the evilness will stop. Rather than blaming God, and asking why God, we should be the soldiers of Jesus Christ, soldiers destroy the enemy, and the enemy is Satan and his co-hosts.

We fight through prayer, fasting and commanding the word of God into the atmosphere in the lives of people. We’re in a war and most Christians are AWOL. We can’t fight if we’re not living in submission to the Word of God. We can’t use the Word of God if we don’t know it. Souls are dying by the seconds and going to hell when we should be in prayer for lost souls. Prayer is the Christians armor, it’s the Word of God and the Spirit of God that dwells within born-again Christians that Satan and his co-hosts come subject to. We’re in the army of God, and it’s our responsibility to fight for those who are too weak to fight for themselves. Prayer consist of more than asking God for material things, but praying His will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Praying until we see a change in people and changes in circumstances.
