The Word of God

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God, and all things were made by Him: and without Him was not anything made that was made – John 1:1-3.

Jesus is the incarnate and the inspired Word. Incarnation refers to the miracle of God the Son becoming human, but yet Divine.  Jesus was with the Father in the beginning prior to earth and the other galaxies that were formed.  In the beginning signifies the perfect fellowship between God the Father, and God the Son in eternity.Jesus was the Word sent from God to deliver us from our sins and show us how to communicate with the Father. When Jesus disciples asked Him, how should they pray, Jesus gave them the model prayer “Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil (the evil one). For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever, Amen”.  Prayer is words we use to communicate with our Father; prayer is more than asking, it’s confession, adoration, thanksgiving and fellowship with God our Father.  He listens to hear our voice, people can pray for us, but it moves the hand of God when He hears us praying and praying His Words in faith.

The Word of God is true, it’s for everlasting and His Word is settled in heaven (Forever, O, Lord thy word is settled [stands firm] in heaven – Psalm 119:89). God’s Word will not return to Him void, what He has said, that will He do. God is not like a man that He would lie or change His mind about what He said He would do. God’s Word has instructed us (The blessings of the Lord maketh rich and He addeth no sorry with it – Proverbs 10:22). What we thought were blessings, and if it’s causing sorrow, then it didn’t come from God.  If we submit ourselves to the Word of God, we don’t have to avenge our enemies, God will do it for us (But if thou shalt indeed obey His voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries – Exodus 23:22). The angel was talking to Moses, but that goes for us today because the angels of the Lord are encamped around about those that love God and fear Him. God sent the angel to Moses, and He is still sending angels to His people.

It’s not the will of the Father for anyone to perish, but when people reject God’s salvation through His Son, they can’t enter into heaven (And He said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven – Matthew 18:3). We cannot reject the Son and think we will receive the Father, its a package deal, you can’t receive the one without the other (No man can come to me, except the Father which have sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day – John 6:44 – And He said , therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father – John 6:65).

God will keep him in perfect peace (Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee – Isaiah 26:3). Don’t allow what you’re going through be greater than the God you serve. If our thoughts are staying on the problem, then the problem has become our god.  Acknowledge the problem or situation and allow God to be the delivery of the matter, place your faith in God and not what you’re going through.

Prayer is important to a Christian, it’s our communication with our Father. It allows Him to hear our voice, and it makes us sensitive to His voice. Whatever we ask for in prayer, that’s  in His will, we should know in confidence, He has heard our prayer and will answer our prayer. The best way to know God’s will is to read His Word and you will know His will (Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them – Mark 11-24).

God’s Word is true, everything He has said in His  Word, that will He do.  Jesus instructed the believer, when we go to the Father, go to Him, asking in His name and that will the Father do (Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full – John 16:24).

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away – Matthew 24:35
