Confronting Anxieties

Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (Philippians  4:6)

Webster Dictionary defines anxiety as worry or uneasiness about what may happen.  An eager but uneasy desire, concern or fear.  Sometimes life can bring so many challenges and issues at once it will bring about anxiety and especially if you don’t have a relationship with the Father and Son, and even then somtimes rather than living by faith, we live by our emotions. Christianity doesn’t exempt life challenges issues, but it does exempt the Christian from failure and defeat.

Your situation maybe so over-powering it may appear you will not come out of it alive, and in some cases sickness prevailed over healing, but the individual wasn’t defeated if he or she was a true Christian. They will be with the Lord (We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord – 2nd Corinthians 5:8). The Lord rejoices over the death of the saints (Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints – Psalm 116:15). So whether we live or die as a true Christians, death nor Satan has the victory.

Satan bombards our thoughts that does not line up with the Word of God. Fear, unbelief, anxieties does not come from God. Satan oppresses the believer bringing about depression. As long as there is life in your body, God has a way and set time to bring you out of your dilemma. As Christians we must guard our eyes and ears of what we see and hear. If you’re only placing all the things that’s hapening in the News Media, you will open a door for Satan to oppress and depress. Just as the body needs vitamins and nutritions to stay healthy, the heart and spirit needs spiritual food to stay spiritual healthy.  Feed your heart and spirit with the Word of God, read books by authors you’re familiar with that will not dilute the Word of God.

Satan attacks Christians in their minds to try to hinder and block them from completing their assignments. Don’t wait for the attack; keep you heart and mind filled with the Word of God so when the attack occur you will have ammunition to fight. Stop allowing Satan to defeat you in your mind, you are the victor not the victim (Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us – Romans 8:37).
