Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye received them, and ye shall have them – Mark 11:24
Too often, as Christians, we place our faith in people rather than placing our faith in God and His Word. We depend on people to get what we want in life; we think if we know a certain group of people, we will be successful, but success comes through our efforts and faith.
It’s not about what man can do for us but what God will do for us through people. God gives His people favor with people that can assist them. The people who succeeded in life are not necessarily the ones with the most talent, the highest education, or the best job.
The people who succeed in life are those who learn to control their thoughts and emotions and harness them under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. According to the Word of God, as a man thinks in his heart, that’s what he is. The fact is that many in the army of God suffer from stinking thinking.
This is why the Bible instructs the believer to think about things that will bring life (Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are of honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things – Philippians 4:8) . Thinking on anything other than the positive Word of God will bring unbelieving faith, it takes faith not to believe just as much as it takes faith to believe.
Negative faith and attitudes will poison our marriage, family, church, business, and soul. Our attitudes are contagious, let the attitude of doubt and fear begin to multiply in what we say or think, and before you know it, the possibility of the miraculous happening in our life becomes consumed by an atmosphere of total defeat.
The roots of our attitude are hidden, but the fruit is visible. Our attitude draws people to us or repels them. It determines our success or failure in everything we do; our attitude determines our attainments. We’re more than conquerors through Jesus Christ. Nothing is impossible for those who believe; stop saying you don’t know the right people.
You know God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, which is enough to divide the Red Sea in your life and stop the lion’s mouth. Stop focusing on the crisis, and focus on Jesus Christ, the God that makes the impossible possible.
With an attitude of fortitude, you can walk through the valley of the shadow of death because a shadow is harmless. Our minds have to be focused on God’s promises and purpose for our life, knowing there is no defeat in God and because He is with you, there will be no defeat!
