And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He giveth us – 1st John 3:24.

Christians are displayed in their homes, communities, employment, business, and schools. Are we displaying our Lord or the world?

Christians are Ambassadors of Christ; an Ambassador is the highest-ranking diplomatic representative of one country to another. God has given Christians dual citizenship, earth and heaven. He has given us the authority to rule in both places in the Spirit because of His Spirit living within us.

In order to rule in the Spirit, the Spirit of God must reside in us and have full control of our spirit and hearts. We’re all growing by the Grace of God; none of us have been perfected; when we become perfect, the Father calls us home to keep us from being infected by the sins of the world.

Non-believers, as well as believers, are looking at our lifestyle. Many watchers have been led the wrong way of Christianity because of our lifestyle. They have been led the wrong way and made the body of Christ look like hypocrites (Giving no offense in anything, that the ministry be not blamed – 2nd Corinthians 6:3). Christianity is a ministry, and we’re responsible for leading people to Christ and not away from Christ.

People have been taught they can do anything they want and still be Christians, we can confess to being Christians, but the Father is looking from His casement, and actions are being recorded for the day we stand before the judgment seat of Christ (But why dost thou judge the y brother? or why dost thou set at nought they brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment of Christ – Romans 14:10). Christians judgment will not be like the non-believer, but they will be judged for the things they have said and done.

We also will be held responsible for leading others down the wrong path; this is why we have been instructed to let our light shine (Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven – Matthew 5:16). What are we displaying to our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers? Do they see our Heavenly Father or the god of this world in our character and behavior?

As the Word of God admonishes Christians to live lives that represent our Heavenly Father (Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world -Titus 2:12). We can’t be part of the world and live as a Christian, because the world has rejected the Word of God. When we participate in the world, we have left the doctrine of the Bible.

Christians are to be different from the world; we have been set apart to live godly lives (Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you – 2nd Corinthians 6:17). We can’t look, listen, or participate with what the world does. If we could do what they do, what is the purpose of receiving salvation? What was the purpose of Jesus dying for our sins so that we could be free from sin?

Read the Bible, follow the instructions, don’t compare yourself to others, and see if you live according to God’s Word. We all have sinned, but we don’t continue in sin. We grow spiritually when we apply ourselves to follow the instructions of God.

Would you be looking and listening to things if Jesus stood before you? If you wouldn’t, that should let you know you’re not living according to the Bible’s instructions. If you want eternal life with God and His Son, then you will have to follow God’s instructions; otherwise, you will be spending eternity in hell.
