Let us not, therefore, judge one another anymore: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way – Romans 14:13.
Only the Lord has the right to judge; He will judge the believer’s use of freedom in immoral things. A stumbling block is offensive conduct, that shocks another, or causes one to stumble in their walk with the Lord.
A stumbling block causes a believer to imitate the conduct of another. We should not use any of the non-essentials to stumble, offend, or weaken anyone by argument or practice. Jesus instructed the believers that they would know a Christian by the fruit they bear, not by judging them. No one has the right to send anyone to heaven or hell, but as Christians, we give people the truth of God’s Word.
There is a difference between Christianity and religion. Christianity only comes by the way of Jesus Christ (Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved – Acts 4:12). The Bible does not indicate one can be saved by religion; in different cultures there are different practices of religion. One can’t be saved by religion, but one can be saved by accepting Jesus Christ as Savior. Jesus didn’t say there would be a religion to be saved, but one can be saved through Him.
When God created man, He created them in the image of Him and His Son. Man was created in holiness, after the fall of man and sin entered the world, the heart of man was evil through drawing away from God and serving the gods they created through their religion.
The instruction of God for His people, when He brought them out of Egypt, was not to practice the religion of the surrounding nations (Ye shall not go after other gods of the people which are round about you – Deuteronomy 6:14). God had created the other surrounding nations just as He had created Israel, but they chose to serve other gods other than the only all-powerful, infinite, limitless God.
Today, people are serving other gods and think there is nothing wrong with it. God did not create a god for each nation, He created all nations and for Him to be their God! These gods people are serving are not making a change in them, their circumstances, and situations, yet they influence others to worship their gods because the individual is ignorant of the Word of God.
Many musical artists were raised in Christian homes; so they are familiar with Christianity. Because of the love of money, they resorted to secular songs and music. These artists, sportsmen, entertainers, and actors will sometimes thank God in the presence of their followers. Because these artists say they are blessed because of God many of their followers think the lifestyle they are living is okay because they mentioned God and they follow their actions and think they can worship God in their lifestyle.
God is holy and His instructions for His people is to be holy and separated from the actions of the world. We can’t love the world and its actions and love God. As children of God we should adhere to the instructions of the Father in every area of our lives.
Just because a person mentions God does not make them a Christian when their lifestyle is the opposite of the Word of God (Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that that friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever, therefore, will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God – James 4:4). Christians who follow after those that are practicing sin is committing spiritual adultery when they are the unfaithful bride of Christ. One cannot be both a lover of God and a lover of the world.
The Bible instructs Christians not to love the world (Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him—1st John 2:15). When we profess to be Christians but live a lifestyle that is of the world, we become a stumbling block to others spiritually.
Jesus died for all nations, and the Bible is for all nations to follow (And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and has redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nations – Revelation 5:9). God didn’t create a god for each country and nations, all that was created was created by Him and for Him.
Christians are to be Christlike, separated from the actions and lifestyles of the world. Sanctification is for every nationality and denomination. When we’re stumbling blocks to others, God holds us responsible, and sooner or later we will have to answer to Him (But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to them that are weak – 1st Corinthians 8:9). The most danger in an unrestrained approach to Christians liberty is the possibility of causing sin in the weaker brother.
If we profess to be Christians, then live like one according to the instructions of the Bible and not by someone else life lifestyle professing to be a Christian. It’s only one way to enter heaven and that’s submission to God’s instructions for His people to live by. Read the Bible, follow its instructions, and live a life that will give you eternal life with the Father!

Stumbling Block
Let us not, therefore, judge one another anymore: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way – Romans 14:13.
