But he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come, eternal life – Mark 10:30.
Eternity: the state or fact of being eternal, infinite, or endless time. It’s a place where everyone must enter, whether it’s eternity with the Father or eternity with Satan. Where we spend eternity depends on the life we live before death.
Everyone is not going to heaven, as some think and some preachers preach at funerals, although the person wasn’t in right standing with God before their passing. No one can be preached into heaven; if that were the case, everyone would be going to heaven, and they’re not. God loved His people so much that He gave His Son to die for the sins of the world. Secondly, He gave us a manual to follow the instructions for eternal life. Thirdly, He gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit to help us live a godly lifestyle.
There is no reason for anyone to go to hell when God has given us a way of escape, and it’s through His Son and our submission to His written Word. Everyone is God’s people, but not everyone is His child. To become His child, one must come into union with Him. To be in union with Him is to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Many worship Him in vain ( They profess that they know God; but in works they deny Him, being abominable and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate [disqualified] – Titus 1:16. We can’t worship God and Satan; it’s going to be one or the other.
If we’re worshiping God, then we will keep His commandment, love God, and love one another. When we really love God, we will read and study His Word to see what is required of us as Christians. To get to know God, we must spend time in His presence. Some professing Christians devote an hour or two every Sunday, and after that, there is no devotion until the following Sunday.
An hour or two each Sunday is not sufficient to build a relationship with the Father. We can spend hours on social media or watching movies, but we will not devote twenty or thirty minutes a day to prayer or reading the Bible. We can’t sow to our flesh and expect to reap spiritually, whatever we sow to is what we will receive (For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting – Galatians 6:8). Soweth to the flesh means to conduct oneself by the evil dictates and desires of the sinful nature which will bring destruction. Soweth to the Spirit means to live by His enabling help in accord with the Spirit’s prompting and leading. Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit, becoming the image of God, gives us life eternal with Him.
Heaven is real, and so is hell; if we want to bypass hell, we must be subject to God’s written Word. God has a standard, it’s holiness (But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation [conduct]. Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy – 1st Peter 1:15-16). The products of salvation are hope, holiness, reverence, and love for the Father and towards each other. If we continue living the same way we did before accepting salvation, we need deliverance from the spirit of the world. Our salvation is not genuine, and it is evident in our actions towards God and His Word.
Everyone has an appointed time with death; whatever lifestyle we’re living when death comes will be where we will spend eternity. If one loves the things of the world, the love of the Father is not in them (Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him – 1st John 2:15. We can’t participate in the things of the world and have a relationship with the Father. When you truly love someone, you do everything humanly possible to make them happy. If we love the Father, we will read His Word and apply our lifestyle according to His instructions.
Millions of people are dying daily, and the majority of them are spending eternity in Hell because they reject salvation and His written instructions. Just like we have a standard for our household, what is permitted and not permitted; God also has a standard and sin will not enter into His household of heaven (But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second deah – Revelation 21:8).
The Bible gives instructions on how to enter heaven and how to avoid hell. No one can apply the instructions if they don’t know what the instructions are. One must read the Bible for oneself to ensure they are receiving the proper instructions. Sadly, there are many false ministers in the five-fold ministry leading people away from the doctrine of Christ.
The written Word of God is for every nation and every denomination; one needs to think about where they will spend eternity. Read God’s Word to see whether you are aligned with the instructions; if not, you need to align yourself, that’s if you want to spend eternity with the Father.
