Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth. Graven images have always been restricted for the believer or the born-again Christian because it takes our faith and hope in God and places it with a person or an object. Throughout time man has always worship either God or the god of brass, stone, gold, silver, and even nature. Whenever graven images are mentioned the majority of people would consider it to be a painting or a statue; they rarely think of a person such as themselves or their loved ones or their possessions.

Prayer
Father, we thank You for who You are! You are the God that creates, the earth is Your footstool and heaven is Your throne. You are high and lifted up, You change not and neither does Your Word! You are excellent and majestic, glorious and wonderful, mighty and great, holy and righteous. As we come before You, we ask that you will forgive us for any sins we may have committed against You and give us the strength to not continue in that sin or sins.

Time of Prayer

Holy and righteous God, as we come before You today, we ask that You would forgive us of the sins we may have committed. We ask You Father that You would deliver us from ourselves, and that You would deliver us from every weight and every sin that may so easily beset us.
