Inside Job

Love not the world neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him-1st John 2:15. So many times people think because they attend the church that they love God, they don’t take the time to find out what is required of them as professing Christians what is true love towards Him. In order for one to truly God, He must give you His love to love Him, we can’t love Him if He doesn’t give it to us.

When salvation has really being received the individual has a life-changing experience. No way the Spirit of God can be indwelling an individual and they still live as they did before they received salvation. When we live according to God’s Word that’s when we really love Him (But whoso keepeth his word in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him-1st John 2:5). To love Him is to deny our desires and want His desire to be manifested in our lives. To love Him is to spend time with Him in prayer, reading and studying His Word.

To love Him is to abstain from hatred, unforgiveness, lying, fornication, adultery, loving people more than loving God. Some professing Christians can tell you more about secular entertainers, their songs, and can’t give one Scripture or its meaning. They can spend hours conversing on movies and actors and entertainers but have nothing to say about the Father or the Son. Something is spiritually wrong when a professing Christians never have God in their conversation.

When one really receives salvation there is no longer a desire for the things of the world. The heart has been changed to desire the things of God; they willingly submit themselves to the Word of God (Whosoever transgresseth and abide not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son-2nd John Verse 9).

Who Are You Being Submissive To?

Esther 3:5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.

Mordecai was the guardian of Esther, who was selected to succeed Vashti as queen of Ahasuerus, king of Persia. Mordecai was an officer at the king’s court,  he sat at the king’s gate daily after Esther became queen. Haman who was an Agagite and Prime minister of King Ahasuerus was angry with Mordecai because he wouldn’t bow or reverence him.  Mordecai was a Jew, and Jews customarily bowed before their kings, but in Persia, kings and their chief officials were reverenced as divine beings. Be Established In God’s Word

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you – John 15:7

What does it mean to abide in Him and His Words to abide in you? It means to stay, sit, settle or dwell. It’s to wait, cease from doing it your way and depend on His will to be done. It is to have faith in His Word that no matter what is going on in your life, His Word supersede the issue or problem. But one can’t have faith in His Word if they don’t know His Word.  Read More
