John 15:1 – I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.  The grapevine is a prolific plant; a single vine bears many grapes. In the Old Testament, grapes symbolize fruitfulness. Israel never fulfilled God’s purpose for her. Jesus, therefore, calls Himself the “true vine”, the One who is productive, He and the branches are under the personal care of the Father, pictured as a husbandman, or gardener. Bible Study John Chapter 4 Verses 11-20

John 4:11 – The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water. In verse 10 Jesus begins with a modest request for a drink of water “Give me drink”, Jesus asked for it because He would further His discussion to introduce her to the living water. First, the woman is in marvel about Him asking for water with kindness; for it was the pride of Jews that they would endure any hardship rather than be indebted to a Samaritan. Forgiveness

And when ye stand praying forgive, if ye have aught (anything) against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses – Mark 11:25.

Forgiveness is one of the hardest things for us to do as Christians. If someone offends us, we say we forgive, but inwardly we’re rehearsing the offense over and over like a tape recorder rewinding. We gather together to worship God and to hear instructions, but somehow when the subject of forgiveness is ministered our ears become closed, and it bypasses our perception. Read More
