Drawing Others to God

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.  Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man  (Colossians 4:5-6).

“Walk in wisdom towards them that are without” means we should be wise in our contact with non-Christians, we should make the most of every opportunity to minister or witness to them about salvation and God’s love for them. Witnessing is not always in words, but in deeds; assisting those that others may reject, saying kinds words to those you know that may not like you,  but you will show loving-kindness towards them. Assisting those who may be standing in the street or standing at the bus stop asking for money, if its really a need, the Spirit of God will let you know if its a need or a scam. Working above and beyond your job duties and not complaining, but knowing that God is seeing your faithfulness towards your employer, and He will reward you when you’re employer ignores you. Bible Study – John Chapter 8 Verses 52-59

John 8:52 – Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil.  Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. When Jesus spoke about not dying, He was speaking about spiritual death, not physical death as the Jews assumed He was speaking of.

Introduction

Moses led the people out of Egypt known as the Exodus. In the wilderness of Sinai, he received the Law directly from God.  Three months after the Israelites left Egypt they arrived at Mount Sinai and after they had camped for three days God was ready to establish His covenant with them. For the people to enter into a covenant with God, they needed to be sanctified, that is, set apart.  This would be accomplished by washing both their bodies and their clothing and refraining from certain activities. The people were to assemble at the foot of the mountain; restriction had already imposed concerning how close they were to get.  Breaching the instructions would result in death instantaneously.  During God’s entrance, a heavenly host blew the trumpet, the closer He came, the louder the trumpet blew. There were thundering and lightning and thick smoke. God reiterated to Moses to tell the people not come no further than the restrictions unless they die. God came from heaven to talk with His people and to make a covenant with them. Read More
