God’s law is His word, it’s His written instructions for believers to adhere too. Many think because of grace, we’re no longer under the law. Through Jesus, grace was given so that we would not receive what we deserve when we sin. In order to express His nature (holiness, truth and justice), God must punish sin. Spiritual War
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places – Ephesians 6:12.
Is not life a warfare? It is so; for we struggle with the common calamities of human life. Is not our religion much more a warfare? It is so, we struggle with the opposition of the powers of darkness. Spiritual strength and courage are necessary for our spiritual warfare. God’s Love
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us – Romans 8:31.
The word these things refer to God’s purpose. If God has done everything from foreknowledge to glorification for us, all adversaries are powerless. Satan tries to influence us that God has forsaken us, or He doesn’t love us, but God’s love never changes. His love is past, present and future. Weapons may be formed, but they will not prosper against us.
