God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence of all them that are about Him – Psalm 88:7  Fear of God is reverence of  His holiness, majestic, all powerful, all knowing. Understanding God is the creator of all things, the things that be was created by God. It’s the fool that has said in their hearts, that it is no God, but daily God shows Himself through the elements, even through the wisdom of man, it’s God’s power and knowledge given to man, and we need to learn how to reverence a Sovereign God.

But be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your owns selves . For any be a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding (observing) his natural face in a glass (mirror) – James 1:22-23  Every time we hear the Word of God, He holds us responsible for what we hear, we will not be able to make excuses for what we’re doing or not doing when we have heard the Word. God’s desire is for us to live a life daily that will be pleasing to Him. That is why Jesus instructed the disciples then and now, to take up your cross daily and follow Him. Don’t attend church and reject the Word, every time you disobey the Word, you’re rejecting the instructions of God.

But ye are a chosen generation, royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praise of Him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light – 1st Peter 29  Every believer that has been born of the Spirit of God has the privilege and the responsibility of direct access to God through our accepting Jesus as the Son of God and being our Savior, as well as allowing Jesus to be Lord of our life.  We no longer have go to a priest to confess our sins  or ask them to pray for us, we can go directly into the presence of God and make our request, God hears the prayers of the righteous.
