Repentance

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost – Acts 2:38.

In order for one to receive salvation, they must first repent of their sins. Repent means to be sorry for how one has lived their life opposite of the teaching of Christ. In their repentance, they will now live their lives according to the teaching of the Bible, which is God’s written instructions for the believer.

Becoming Spiritual Strong

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass – Psalm 37:5

In order to grow spiritually strong, one must first be committed. We will commit to everything important to us, but when it comes to the things of God, we half-step. Half stepping will not give you spiritual growth but the discipline of God.

Enter Not Into Temptation

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak – Matthew 26:41.

Jesus and His disciples were in the Garden of Gethsemane; it was time for Jesus to be taken by the spiritual leaders, leading to His crucifixion. He prayed, and He wanted His disciples to be praying as well.
