The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more when he bringeth it with a wicked mind (intent) Proverbs 21:27

This type of worship is a bribe. Many attend church, tithe or volunteer, not because of their love and devotion to God, but because they hope God will bless them in return.

God doesn’t want our sacrifices of time, energy, and money alone, He wants our obedience and our heart. He wants us to be completely devoted and have sincere love towards Him. When we really love someone, we will try to do everything we can to please them, we should have that same tendency to please God.
