Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day bring forth – Proverbs 27:1
So many times we plan for what we’re going to do the following day without acknowledging God for tomorrow. It’s good to plan ahead, but it’s even better when we acknowledge that God holds our tomorrow.
It’s so easy to say “If it’s the Lord’s will, I will do “this” on tomorrow.” The problem is, we forget to ask God for our tomorrow, and sometimes wonder what would people say when they hear us say, “If it’s the Lord’s will”. Life is short and our fortunes are uncertain. Thinking ahead is a duty, not an option for God’s people. We should always keep in mind it’s God that will allow our tomorrow to come, and we should acknowledge Him!
