Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord: and in His law doth he meditate day and night – Psalm 1:1-2
God doesn’t judge people on the basis of race, sex or national origin. He judges them on the basis of their faith in Him, and their response to His revealed will.
A godly person is one who obeys God and refuses to listen to those who discredit or ridicule Him. God’s blessings results in joy, and to obtain God’s joy we should avoid the company of those who would make mockery of our faith and our God. We should seek an understanding of God through His Word. Knowing and meditating on God’s Word are the first steps towards applying it to our everyday life. In order to follow God, we must know what He’s saying. We find out what He is saying by reading and studying His Word. The law of the Lord includes all scriptures, the more we know God’s Word, the more resources we have for our daily decisions.
