But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold – Job 23:10
Job was a man who loved God and hated evil. Although Job was walking uprightly before God, it didn’t make him exempt from being attacked by Satan. So many ministers are teaching if you’re saved you will not go through difficulties, but that’s not scriptural. God allowed Satan to attack Job because He knew Job was dedicated to Him, but Job had ungodly pride that needed to be revealed to Job. God knew what was in Him, and He was allowing the attack to work together for Job’s good. Difficulties doesn’t always mean we have sinned, but we may need to get rid of the baggage that is holding up our progress in growing spiritually. God will allow difficulties to come to bring us to our knees. Prayer doesn’t always change the circumstances immediately, but it will change us.
