And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more – Genesis 37:5
Joseph was the son of Jacob and Rachel, he was the eleventh and was his father’s favorite. Because of this, his brother’s hated him and eventually they tried to get rid of him by selling him to the Ishmaelites. To dream is to have a vision, usually during sleep, it’s to visualize the establishing and the finishing of something. Each of us have a dream, but the problem is sometimes we allow things and people to get in the way of our dream. We never get too young or old to have a dream, but we must have the determination to fulfill our dream. Everyone is not going to be excited about your dream or believe you can bring the dream to fulfillment. Secondly, you may have family, friends, co-workers and fellow Christians that may be envious of your dream and don’t want your dream to come to fulfillment.
If it’s a God-given dream, don’t think because God gave you the dream it will be easy, our biggest war is when God has given it to us. We have people coming against us, then we will have Satan and his co-host fighting to try to keep the dream from coming to fulfillment. No matter what or who comes to hinder or block, don’t give up the dream. Whatever God has given you, it will come to pass if you have the faith and determination to fulfill the dream. If the dream has faded, ask God to restore the dream and to help you to fulfill the dream.
