His Word

So shall my words be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it – Isaiah 55:11.

It’s a blessing to those who seek the Lord, the promise of God is, if we seek Him with our whole heart, we will find Him. Seeking God is through prayer, meditation, reading and studying the Bible. Giving ourselves a fast, reading books that will increase our knowledge of Him.

With today’s busy schedule, many have lost the commitment in seeking God in prayer. God wants to be first in our life, He doesn’t want anything or anyone to come before Him. The God we serve is a jealous God, and He has warned us through His written word not to have any other god before HimĀ (Thou shalt have none other gods before {besides} me – Deuteronomy 5:7 ). When we pray, we’re communicating with our Father, He’s the one that knows everything that will happen during the day. He’s the one that can stop the hands of the enemy before he attacks when we place a shield of protection around about us and our family when we go before God in prayer.

A consistent prayer life will circumcise our heart and then we will begin to want to do what is right in the sight of the Lord. The reason why many Christians live opposite of the word of God is because they don’t know the written word of God. When we read or look at something long enough, it will have an influence on us whether it’s good or bad. We must seek the truth, and the truth is in God’s word.
