The Judgment

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this is the judgment – Hebrews 9:27

A false doctrine is, “Once saved always saved.” If that was a true statement, the Bible wouldn’t tell us to confess our sins so that we can be healed. Salvation comes through our faith in Jesus as being the Son of God and accepting Him as our Savior. Once we accept Him, we must also make Him Lord of our life. Many accept salvation at a time when the Word of God and the conviction of the Holy Spirit open the hearts to reveal to them they need to repent and ask God to save them, the problem is they don’t continue to seek to please Him and that’s when false salvation come into play. The primary purpose of the blood of Jesus was to propitiate the wrath of God and pay the price of redemption. When we continue to sin against God by willingly being disobedient to His instructions; their disobedience to the Word of God will cause them to enter into hell (For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins – Hebrews 10:26). Every time we attend church, listen to the radio or watch television and we do the opposite of what the minister’s teaching, we’re willingly being disobedient.

The Bible is instructions for the believer and as a believer, if we want to please God, we must follow His instructions. The Bible warns believers, if they return to sin, or practice sin,  Jesus will reject them (Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (lawlessness) – Matthew 7:23).

Lawlessness is not being regulated by the authority of law, not in conformity with law, not obeying the law. What is the law, God’s Word?  It’s the rules, conduct, and regulation God has given us as believers to live by His written Word.  God has given us a way of escape and it’s through accepting Jesus as Lord and applying His Word to our lives daily. Each day we live, we’re one day closer to death. After death is the judgment. We’re not placed in holding place when our spirit leaves our body. We will either enter into heaven or hell, we make the choice. Take time, read and study the Bible, search the Scriptures, ask God to give you a revelation of His Word and help you to submit to His Word.

When Yahweh, God called out the Hebrews as a peculiar people to Himself, He gave them the Torah and circumcision as an evidence of that special relationship. He wanted a relationship in which they were a kingdom of priests in the earth realm as long as they lived in obedience to the Torah.  Because of the hardness of Israel’s’s heart, the Law became as a schoolmaster to preserve them from utterly being destructed until the appointed time for the Seed of the woman to manifest. Jesus came with the perfect remedy by sacrificing Himself for the sins of humanity. Jesus didn’t die so we could continually live a life of practiced sin as the Israelites did.

Just as He did with the Israelites He has also given us a book of instructions for us to follow if we want to be Kingdom citizens. If we want to be Kingdom citizens we must repent of our sins and follow after the Word of God’s Law (Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord – Acts 3:19).  To repent means we no longer practice sin, we no longer live according to our fleshly desires. When one is truly converted, he or she no longer desires the things of the world, it’s not done immediately at conversion, but as the person pray, read and study their Bibles their spirit and heart will be consumed with the things of God and not the things of the world.

Jesus is returning for His church and judgment for those who rejected the teaching and instructions of the Bible. It does not matter how many times you were baptized, how many times you attend church, it doesn’t matter what position you have in the church, it does not matter how much you gave in tithes and offerings if your heart has not been converted to submit yourself to the Word of God there will be a judgment (But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers,. and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimestone: which is the second death – Revelation 21:8).  It’s never too late to rededicate yourself to the Lord whole heartily. Take the time read and study the Bible, it’s your life insurance.
