Pray For Your Family Hear Counseling

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt me saved, and thy house (household) Acts 16:31.

Paul and Silas were imprisoned at Philippi  because of their teaching of the gospel. While in prison Paul and Silas prayed and sung praises to God. They didn’t allow their circumstance to keep them from praying or praising God. As they prayed and praised God the other prisoners heard them. They prayed and praised God until they got His attention and He sent an angel to free them from prison. When the guard awaken and saw the prison doors opened and assumed the prisoners had fled, but Paul assured him that all of them were there, no one left even though their chains had been broken. When the guard saw what occurred, he knew this was the hand of God, and he wanted to know what must he do to be saved. Paul and Silas instructed him to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and he would be saved and his household. The household indicates our family.  God has always been concerned about family. Sometimes we wonder when we receive salvation why haven’t our spouse and children received it. Don’t  worry or lose faith. God’s Word will never return to Him void. His written Word has given us a promise after He saves us, He’s going to bring the family in. It may not be the way we desire, and it may seem as though its taking forever,  but God will never fall short of His Word. This Scripture wasn’t just for the keeper of the prison, but it’s for us and our children (For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call – Acts 2:39).

A prison is a place of confinement and restriction, and that’s what sin does to those who reject the Word of God, but Jesus has given us the ministry of reconciliation, and it’s our responsibility to pray to the Father for our spouse and children until the prayer has been answered. The will of God is for our family to be saved and through our dedication to the Father and His Son, our prayers will be answered (The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much – James 5:16a).  No matter what our family may be involved in, we must believe God is Greater, and He can change the heart of anyone. Fervent indicates not giving up, believing God’s Word no matter what it looks or feels like. When our prayer is continuance, we get the attention of God for our faith, our intercessory for the souls of our family. Don’t give up, keep fasting, keep praying for your family and receive the answers to your prayers.

Satan will try to influence you to give up there is no hope, don’t listen to him, keep praying, every time he comes with doubt, begin to thank God for saving your family. Believe God’s Word rather than what you see manifesting through unsaved loved ones. You may not live to see them receiving salvation, but your prayer has been answered. Yes, you want to live to see them receive salvation, but if you don’t live to see them saved;  you can depend on God’s Word that He will save your household. His Word will not return to Him void, you’re praying according to the Word of God, you’re praying that their souls will be saved. God does not want anyone to perish, so if you continually pray for your family, God will soften their hearts so that He can perform His Word in them.
