What Is The Damned?

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned-Mark 16:16.

Only faith, not baptism is essential for salvation. Many have taken the Scripture and made baptism a way of salvation. Salvation comes through faith in God that He gave His Son for our sins, Jesus died for our sins and was risen from the dead and is sitting on the right-hand side of God, the Father; through faith are you saved.

Damnation is a term found in the King James version but changed to “condemnation” in most modern versions. Matthew warns against eternal punishment for the unrighteous (And these shall go away into everlasting punishment but the righteous into life eternal-Matthew 25:46). Everlasting and eternal are used to describe both torment and life, indicating that one will last as long as the other. Mark cautions that a person blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is in danger of eternal damnation (Verily, I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men and blaspheme wherewith soever they shall blaspheme. But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation-Mark 3:28-29). Anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit places himself or herself outside the redeeming grace of God. A single act of defiant behavior will not cause one to be damned, but a continued state of opposition entered willfully will make one hell-bound.

The heart of mind-kind has been hardened, and many will either refuse salvation or they will accept salvation with living in their old lifestyles. True salvation brings about a change in the persons’ mind and heart, the individual no longer desire to go or see and listen to the things they once did before accepting salvation. God nor the Holy Spirit will restrain one if he or she desires to live outside the guidelines of God’s written instructions. God is holy and He wants His people to live a life of holiness meaning submitting themselves to God’s instructions for His people.

Sorry to say many don’t believe God will send His people to a place where they will be tormented for eternity. There is a difference between being His people and being His child. His people are those He has created naturally, His child is those that have been born both naturally and spiritually (That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit-John 3:6). Once born naturally, there must be a spiritual rebirth (Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God-John 3:5). Rebirth is the only way one will have entrance into heaven no matter what denomination one has joined.

God loves everyone and He does not want anyone to go to hell so He gave everyone a way of escape through His Son, Jesus, and His written Word, the Bible. If one wants to enter heaven there is no other way but through Jesus and submitting to the Bible instructions for Christian living. Either we submit to God and be His servant or submit to Satan and be his servant, you can’t be a servant to both although most people try. Christianity is to be Christ-like.

Hell is a place where there will be nothing but pain and torment for eternity, and those who choose to go there have rejected Jesus and His doctrine (And if thy hand offend [make you sin]thee, cut it off. It is better for thee to enter into life maimed than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched-Mark 9:43).

God nor the Son will never instruct His people to do bodily harm to themselves, cut off should be taken figuratively, it means to take whatever drastic action is necessary to avoid sin. One can’t practice sin and enter heaven, its God’s way or no way. Some Christians are playing Russian Roulette with their lives. Jesus can come at any time or death can knock on your door at any time and whatever state you’re in will determine whether its heaven or hell.

Take time to read and study the Bible, purposely decide to submit to its teaching for Christians, if you’re not living according to the doctrine, you’re professing to be a Christian is in vain (Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ he hath both the Father and the Son-2nd John verse 9). Don’t judge your Christianity by the way you see others live, judge yourself by the Bible and see whether or not you’re living according to the written Word of God. There is a place called hell and those who reject the Father, Son, and the written Word will find themselves there to live for eternity (Behold, I come quickly, blessed is he that keepeth the saying of the prophecy of this book-Revelation 22:7).
