For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord – 1st Thessalonians 4:16-17.
Although the word “Rapture” does not occur in the English Bible, the idea is expressed in the words “caught up”. The Rapture is the first phase of Christ’s return, involving every Christian alive at that time. These Christians will be caught up to meet Him in the clouds, instantaneously receiving glorified bodies. Those who died as Christians will rise first and those that remain as Christians will meet Christ in the air to live with Him forever. Once the Christians have been removed from the earth, this is when the Tribulation will begin.
Jesus’s first entrance to earth was as a baby, humble and meek, His second coming will be with the wrath of God to those who rejected God and His Son. To those who attended church and lived a life of hypocrisy. His second coming will not stop Him from coming from those who don’t believe. His love for man-kind will remain, but they will be disciplined for their disobedience and disbelief.
There will be no excuse for anyone; He has given us His written Word to adjust our lives to live by. He has spoken through ministers and His people to the unbeliever and the hypocrite. There is life after death, and there is a place where one will live forever whether its heaven or hell. He has given each individual a choice to where they want to spend eternity.
Jesus suffered and died so that no one would enter into hell, but His Father gave us a guideline to live according to if we wanted to enter heaven and bypass hell. There is no other way other than the way He has instructed. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, read the Word, believe the Word, submit to the Word!
